Nairalanders, my brother tried to warm his car this morning and it exploded, as shown in the picture. The sound was enormous and the cause is not yet known. He drove the car yesterday and it exploded today. It is a Corolla 2005 brand.
I would like to know the likely cause, thanks 🙏

looks like airbag deployed prematurely, but further investgation is needed, maybe a compressed can was left heated up in the car like ac refrigerant. we need better pictures

No need for investigations bro,the car is already scrap. Do not fix it and advertise itand lie to us its 6months used or just like toks or accident free. Butcher it. Its scrap

o heavy. If he kept a cylinder ,by now we should have seen the carcas
If its a cng powered car.pls quickly set it ablaze.

Car longevity..2005 to 2024. It means corolla is a ticking bomb. See why old cars need to be scrapped.

Image isn't clear but that definitely looks like an airbag explosion. Its probably expired, bad sensor, fiddled with by a technician of perhaps just excessive heat.

Excessive heat..maybe he left a perfume bottle inside the car,left a bottled air refresher, left gas sticks aka lighter inside car,left an explodable aor refreshner gas operated. Those are the stuffs that could cause explosion bit not so heavy. If he kept a cylinder ,by now we should have seen the carcas
