For the sake of clarity, since Nigerians are extraordinarily suspicious of authorities and since public officials seem inadvertently to justify this and since international firms seem as if they exploit Nigeria's reputation for corruption to shortchange Nigeria confident in the belief all blame will lie squarely on Nigeria authorities, perhaps the relevant laws should be amended or institued that mandate, hence forth, all federal road contracts may be awarded and signed only with the inclusion of Citizen Committees as witness or involved the entire way in the process of contract awarding.

This is pure Fraud and Corruption by those involved, afterall the Authorities should arrest and prosecute them - to return the Money by terminating the Road Projects.
The Funds should be recovered, for this is how the Public is denied the good life in Nigeria- and what do you have all over Nigeria and many States of the Federation ' Abandoned Projects '
Very Shameful!

The reconstruction of the 375.9km dual carriageway from Abuja to Kano was first awarded at the cost of N155 billion. But the cost was reviewed in 2021 to N642.2 billion. Again, it was increased to N797.2 billion.
Who did the initial contract award? That upward review was just too steep.

Well this is not directly Tinubu fault but APC.
Why you wouldn’t complete projects that have been awarded make no sense.
You are awarding trillions for coastal highway which will not be completed in the next 6 years and the badagry to sokoto road .
Why don’t you finish and complete projects inward . This is not the time to spend to stimulate the economy . It’s time to pay back all those loans and save. If people can’t get to their destination on time and conveniently how do you expect them to perform effectively and efficiently.
All FG roads should be tarred with proper drainage and maintenance done every 4-5 years.
We are our worst enemies!
