For Stacy Humphrey, 48, and Donnell Blake, 60, a week without power was the difference between life and death. A pitbull in the northeast Houston rooming house that Blake owns gave birth to a litter of puppies two days before Beryl made landfall. By the end of the week, half of the litter was dead.

Pride, Texans are a proud people. Any small thing they want independence from America.

They are not part of the national grid, and they cannot maintain stable electricity for a week with their poor power supply.

America stole Texas from the Mexicans. Texas forget how they got the land and wants to bite big brother. Natural disaster will never depart from Texas. They spilled too much blood

I heard of white missionary workers who came to Jos around year 2000. There was power outage on their first night. The family sat down closely knitted till day break. They were filled with fear and uncertainty through out the night.

Another never drove on Nigerian roads after losing his wife in a rollover accident that took his dear wife due to potholes. He had panic attack on sighting potholes despite having a Nigerian driver
