Let me comment here for the first time after a long while. I'm one of the people who said I will never Japa and stay back to support Nigeria. Even when PBAT was making promises, I knew it's the usual deception of politicians but to my greatest shock, "unemployment" is at it's highest!
Who are PBAT advisors?
We were promised massive employment in the armed forces and jobs. In return, companies are laying off staffs and leaving our dear country. Fact check me! – previous regimes and the Nigerian Armed forces had SSC and DSSC for Airforce, Army and, Navy through which graduates were employed. Now the Military formations prefer ordinary cadre where peanuts is paid.
– NGPolice has stopped advertising officers cadre in Nigeria positions
– DSS, EFCC no longer open portal for employment
— FIRS, CBN, NDC, ICPC, CUSTOM, PA and other countless government jobs stopped opening portals for re retirement as if there is embargo on employment.
At any slightest chance these aforementioned entities tries to recruit, they don't consider merit.
political office holders and the National Assembly has failed us in this country!
Also, whenever there is opportunities, powerful people at the top and cabals who feed from right -left and, centre in government sits on the openings for their girlfriends and immediate families. The poor will suffer from portal failures and eventually labor in vein in the name of screening.
Before a job is advertised in Nigeria, they already have people they want. I thought PBAT will change things for good but as it stands now, he has really continued where Buhari stopped!
Note, Kenyans took it until they couldn't take it any longer...
Even among workers, life hasn't been easy talk less of the unemployed youths.
Youth unemployment means increased:
– Kidnapping
– Banditry
– Robbery
– Insecurity etc
When will youth celebrate and be proud of their nation?
