"The area today, known as Anambra State was created on August 27, 1991, along with eight other states of Nigeria by the then Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida GCFR." - Anambra State Government Website, first page https://anambrastate.gov.ng/history/#:~:text=The%20area%20today%2C%20known%20as,President%2C%20Ibrahim%20Badamasi%20Babangida%20GCFR. Is Babangida an english man? LOL Does Babangida pronounce things like someone from Niger State or someone from London? |

Ofodirinwa:The courage and audacity you guys put into writing nonsense is baffling. ![]() Well I don't blame you guys sha. If Hope Uzodinma was a serious governor, this thread would have been getting more development news and not these senseless discussions. |

The problem with ediots like you is that you don’t want to learn your history. You are a cursed ediot from the cursed backward Abia state is here deceiving your. I will restate this for you ediot to know, Anambra is a monolithic state. Anambra has nothing in common with Imo state. Anambra will not be part of any state creation in igboland. Anambra has been created to be a monolithic state. Anambra supports Anioma state creation over any other state creation. Anambra and Anioma are more related and cousins than any of other Igbo state more especially imo state. Anambra’s history is clear and everyone knows, even IBB knows it when he carefully created the present Anambra state and Enugu state. Stop forcing yourselves on us, we are not one people, igbos have their own variations and you must act knowledge that fact. No single Anambra community is interested in leaving the Anambra union. Being an Anambra indigenes is something you cannot tamper with because the state is monolithic. You ediots twist history in order to see reason to tamper with the map of Anambra but we shall never allow it to happen. We shall resist you inferior people that always want to feel superior by attaching to Anambra. You can create the sixth Igbo state out of imo and Abia but we shall never allow you guys touch any part of Anambra. B2mario: |

IBB created Anambra and he was very careful to carve out the present Anambra as a monolithic state. Anambra(Omambala) existed before even Nigeria and igboland. We cannot say the same for your cursed backward useless imo state that has its origin from Ibibio that’s why IMOOLA is the real name of imo state . Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by 0bjpmb: 9:50pm On Jul 15, 2024 |
LOL al these are just because Anambra rejected being in the same state with you inferior igbos from IMOOLA state. Anambra existed before Nigeria, so how come in your twisted empty argument that it was Hausa that named it Anambra. Mumu Anambra(Omambala) is a monolithic state and no amount of lies and propaganda can change that reality. Ofodirinwa: |

You are the one that’s a kid here. You ediots don’t want to face reality. Anambra people are stating that they don’t want to share state with imo state or Orlu state, but you inferior ediots are busy arguing nonsense vengertime: |

Unbiased1:Writing on facts surrounding the lingering need for a 6th state in the southeast area, is not senseless. Any Igbo person who does not see, or feigns ignorance to the fact, that a 6th state for the southeast is to be created between Imo West and Anambra South senatorial districts, is a crook. Discourse on development projects of Gov Hope Uzodinma in Imo state should be secondary to the bigger discourse on the merited 6th state in the southeast area. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by OnoVegasBlog(m): 11:35pm On Jul 16, 2024 |
B2mario:You are mistaken. It's Aba State, but the desire to erase the Ngwa identity led the Eastern leadership to block any attempts to create Aba State. They cited concerns that the Ngwa people might deny the Igbo identity and revive issues like the abandoned property problem in Aba. While the Ngwa now identify as Igbo, it hasn't always been the case. The same applies to places like Arochuku (formally Aro Obasi Ibom), Abiriba, Itumbuzo, Asa, Ndoki, and in fact, the majority of Abians trace their origins to the Ibibio and Efik peoples. I wouldn't be surprised if ancient Ibibio territory included parts of Imo State, given that the name Imo (Imoh) is of Ibibio/Efik origin. Its variant is Umoh |

OnoVegasBlog:Make una kwontinue with drivels: create Aba state of 7 local govt areas but leave Imo state of 27 local govt areas intact. The Deputy Speaker of HoR in charge of the House committee for constitution amendment flexed his own new found power. He conscripted local govt areas from the five states to demand for Etiti state; thereby leaving Enugu and Ebonyi states tinier, each left with about 10 or 11 local government areas. But he wants Imo state to remain with 25 local government areas still because he wants his own Etiti state. To deny the Imo-Anambra location naturally fit for a 6th state in the south-east, some Igbo people manufacture tales from the moonlight. |

Like we say in Nigeria, government is a continuum. If Rochas Okorocha had built quality projects, Hope Uzodinma, regardless of how bad he is, would've focused on other areas. Today, he's building things as basic as roads, including those Rochas Okorocha claimed he constructed. These are pictures of roads Hope Uzodinma completed recently. The 2.7km Toronto/Ekemegbuoha road and the 8.4km Toronto/Orji road.

Amah70:Boy you have cried enough with your trial on making Imo & Anambra unviable. This might just be a time you may just round it up and call it a day boy, cause Anambra people sounds so impertubed & unmoved with this your bittered wailing. Save your time & kids & go engage in more profitable ventures |

Don't tell me there's still Anambra supremacy going on on this thread after I stopped visiting this thread years ago. This is the only thread that reminds me of the old nairaland of yesteryears. B2mario, I greet you Sir. Abagworo is missing in action. Lol ![]() Chino the Anambra legend with his multiple monikers but you'll know it's him. ![]() Mma mma nu o!! I greet you all |

Onyejerenima06:Zion Ministry singlehandedly transformed its part of Okota in Lagos...from lodges to hotels, bottled water manufacturing to olive oil manufacturing company, Seraphic Foundation, hospital, etc. Many churches are fighting so that Zion Ministry doesn't come down to Imo State because most of their members will start worshipping at Zion. That's the challenge most churches around Ago-Okota (especially Catholic Churches) are facing now. This is one ministry that people (especially Nigerians abroad) fly in from around the world to worship with, so that will definitely boost the air traffic of Imo airport. Meanwhile, Zion Ministry is already building a psychiatrist and old people's home in Anambra. The project was initially estimated at 250m but, according to Evangelist Ebuka, it will cost over 500 million now because the project design keeps changing to incorporate new ideas. He plans to build one in all the 5 Eastern states, plus Delta, Rivers and Plateau States. He said he doesn't want to see mad people roaming the streets of those states. |

I have noticed that now Igbos are the face of these yeye evangelist churches. Anyways Owerri is a great location because the hotels will benefit immensely. Economically this is a major net positive |

Governor uzodinma must stand up against military destruction of properties in imo communities. This is a very dangerous time to play with especially with the purported protests coming up |
