Some terrorists suspected to be kidnappers causing mayhem in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have attacked the El-Rufai Estate in Bwari Area Council.

News360 Nigeria gathered that the incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the assailants invaded the area shooting sporadically.

A man simply identified as Nathaniel was reportedly shot by the gunmen who engaged operatives of the FCT Police Command in a gun duel.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT command, Josephine Adeh confirmed the incident in a chat with our correspondent, saying “Yes, it is true”.

Our correspondent gathered that the kidnappers attempted to abduct many of the residents before the Police operatives foiled their operation.

A fierce gun duel between the operatives and the criminal elements reportedly lasted about 30 minutes.

Abuja is where the elitest of Nigerian elites live, where all the diplomats whose countries have consulates or embassies in Nigeria live, UN office in Nigeria is there and the symbolism of Nigeria’s seat of power aso rock is there. There was a time I lived in abuja and for years never heard the sound of single gunshot either in day or night but not anymore..so I never believed in my wildest imagination what is happening to all parts of Nigeria now will be happening in Abuja due to what Abuja represents to every Nigerian home and worldwide. Total failure of security in the country. Is there anything Tinubu is good at all or just sleeping inside aso rock and hiding from Nigerians like somebody overdosed on cocaine? Is tracking criminals now a rocket science for Nigeria…something Benin, Togo , Ghana and other small west African countries do with ease. I don’t blame most Nigerians for believing the country doesn’t have a president because Tinubu have set Nigeria 30 years backwards by moving aimlessly without any policy direction for the country. The y said it’s Emilokan and that they will teach igbos politics… everybody have seen the kind of politics the failure is teaching…smh
