Mr Ohyoudidnt Someone did a comparison between 1. The Sana manuscript of the Qur'an and the modern Hafs Qur'an AND 2. The Hafs Qur'an and the Warsh Qur'an Several differences were pointed out both in the Arabic and English. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5osvs9EIwGw?si=mTlKfkaRnTCdITFo I am more concerned with the differences between the Sana manuscript and the modern Qur'an. Who is trying to doctor the Qur'an? Can you explain the discrepancies? |

The differences Between the Sana'a Manuscript and the Modern Qur'an Do Not prove an attempt to Doctor the Qur'an. The variations noted in early manuscripts like the Sana'a are usually minor and pertain primarily to orthographic, diacritical, and stylistic differences rather than substantial changes to the content itself. During the initial centuries of Islam, there was not yet a standardized orthographic system for the Arabic script. Scribal customs varied, and the use of diacritical marks was not consistent. This can lead to apparent differences in the texts but does not necessarily denote a differing message or doctrinal content. While compiling the Uthmani standardised codex and variations were discovered, they were meticulously compared to the oral recitations authenticated by those who had memorized the Qur'an (known as hafiz). Hence, the authorization of the text involved a rigorous communal verification process, making it unlikely that any significant changes went unnoticed or unchallenged |

TenQ:The order of revelation of chapters and verses in the Quran was determined by Allah's wisdom and divine plan. The Quran was revealed over a period of about 23 years in response to various events and circumstances faced by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the early Muslim community. The order of revelation was not based on a chronological sequence of events but rather on divine wisdom and guidance. The arrangement of the Quran into chapters (Surahs) and verses (Ayahs) was done under the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself, as directed by Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) and inspired by Allah. The arrangement of the Quran is designed to convey specific themes, lessons, and guidance to humanity. The Quranic text is preserved in its original form to serve as a source of guidance and wisdom for all times. The difference between the order of revelation and the arrangement of the Quran serves various purposes, including emphasizing key themes, providing comprehensive guidance, and facilitating ease of recitation and memorization. |

Ohyoudidnt:The question was: Why can the Qur'an not be directly interpreted? I said: Because it is one of the most incomplete books in the whole world even though Allah says that in it everything is explained in detail! I gave the example: Example: with only the Qur'an, 1. Who is Israel? 2. Who is the Holy Spirit? 3. Show that Al-Fathia refers to the Christians and Jews as cursed and misled. There is no answer! This is why, you have multiple Tafsirs often not completely agreeing with each other to explain the Simple Arabic of the Qur'an Your argument of why you think the Qur'an was rearranged is extremely weak! Why? 1. There is not one single record of Allah asking Mohammed to rearrange the Qur'an 2. The Qur'an is expected to be in the Mother Book of the Qur'an of Allah in Paradise It is thoroughly illogical for Jibril to randomly pick from the book of Allah only for the recitations to require a reordering after the whole book is recited. It doesn't make any logical sense sir |

Ohyoudidnt:I watched the two videos attached even though I had watched the first one two years ago when it was posted on YouTube. Let me highlight just three things from the first video He agreed that there were DIFFERENCES , however he said 1. Qur'an was not meant to be written but memorised is the cause of the differences 2. Sana Quran is different from the one by Ibn Masud or Ibn Saad and called C1 to show that it probably belonged to one of the companions of Mohammed. 3 Uthmanic Quran has over 26 additions while the Sana C1 Qur'an has 14 The point is that there are differences between the Sana Qur'an (the oldest part of the Qur'an in physical existence) from the standard modern Qur'an in existence today. The second video was worse in that it did not address anything but to downplay the complaints of Ibn Masud about the Qur'an of Uthman by Zaid. To do justice, you might need to look at some of the textual variations between the Sana C1 manuscript verses and the standard Qur'an of today. My initial video gave several examples. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5osvs9EIwGw?si=mTlKfkaRnTCdITFo I am more concerned with the differences between the Sana manuscript and the modern Qur'an. You can see why it is easier to point fingers at the number of supervisors Solomon used in building the temple |

TenQ: TenQ:What you italicized was not a question Tenq? Your other questions have been answered repeatedly in your numerous posts on nairaland so I question if you really are seeking answers from those you ask? Are you sure your intelligence digests the answers you have gotten or you deliberately constitute yourself into a nuisance? In any case it's best to respect that no answer satisfies your particularly peculiar many confusion and wish you the best in loosening your knots of confusion. Funny you never gave a direct answer as to why in Kings there are 3300 supervisors and 3600 in Corinthians. Well not like I expect you have a reasonable and confident answer for your 'Holy Bible's ' books ininconsistencies. |

TenQ:Can you 'intelligently' draw out the differences between the Sana manuscript and the modern Quran so we can evaluate the actual difference in the messages they pass? I hope you will not run away or divert as clearly there is a difference between 3300 and 3600 in number can you show something similar or equal in these scripts? |

Ohyoudidnt:No questions whatsoever was asked!? Why can the Qur'an not be directly interpreted? Because it is one of the most incomplete books in the whole world even though Allah says that in it everything is explained in detail! Example: with only the Qur'an answer the questions 1. Who is Israel? 2. Who is the Holy Spirit? 3. Show that Al-Fathia refers to the Christians and Jews as cursed and misled. 4. What is the wisdom in the fact that the order of revelations of chapters and verses is different from the order of arrangement of the Qur'an? Ohyoudidnt:No one can say categorically the exact reasons for the differences in the number of supervisors. What we can say is that both sets of scrubs were speaking the truth from their pont of views As The Bible is not claimed to be the verbatim exact words of God otherwise just one mistake in spelling would have nullified the claim. It is not impossible that the number of supervisors during the 7 years of construction could vary and stated truthfully as such. a. How many full time and how many part-time supervisors were appointed? Some scribes may ignore the part-time supervisors and claim only the full-time supervisors. b. How many supervisors started the work and how many ended the work. Depending on the scribes, either could be used c. Are some workers also double as supervisors? Some scribes may not duplicate such workers as supervisors. Since no details was given, the best one can do is to speculate based on scenarios that may have occurred. Otherwise, prove that YHWH dictated or wrote the Torah, Injeel, Zabur and the other books. BUT Is it UNTRUE that the Qur'an is the Verbatim words of Allah which is a copy of the Qur'an of Allah in paradise. The implication except you disagree are: 1. Allah should not be imprecise or ambiguous about any information in the Qur'an 2. Allah should not make either a logical or mathematical or historical or scientific errors in the Qur'an 3. Allah should show wisdom is response to questions asked by mortal men in the Qur'an. 4. Allah should be perfect in the mastery of the language of the Qur'an 5. The book of God must not promote sin for anyone and especially not from his prophet 5. The Book of Allah should not need multiplicity of Tafsirs to comprehend it Since God is perfect, any failure in just an example from any one of the 5 above shows that a human being is behind the wordings of the Qur'an |

TenQ: TenQ:Do you say what you italicized and colour coded red for clear identification was not a question? I have encouraged you to get answers to your intelligent questions from people that have your equivalent or respected level of intelligence. You have agreed that there are different dialects of arabic and the Quran was revealed in the time of the prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him in 7 styles and there are 10 modes of recitation. Now you reduce what you should hold dear as guidance from your God to what views are presented by scribes? You are not concerned that they can inject their own beliefs, prejudices, or misunderstandings into the texts they transcribe or interpret? You are not bothered their views can lead to misinterpretations or distortions of the original message intended by the deity? You don't worry that the individual views provided by scribes may not always align perfectly with the intentions of the deity or higher power they seek to represent and the discrepancy can result in followers receiving flawed or incomplete guidance? TenQ:As you have specific issues to be addressed it will be foolish of me to take the liberty of knowing which particulars you have concerns with. This is why I rather you clearly put out the examples of your choice. If you cannot then you are just blabbing and hiding on under screens. |

Then Allah leads astray whom He wills and provides with guidance whom He wills. And He is Almighty, Most Wise.Quran 14:4 Do you have proof that the Arabians living with and around prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him when he was alive did not understand him? Or is the Pharisees and Saducees or other Israelites around Jesus did not understand what he said to them in Aramaic language or other language which they spoke in common? |

Ohyoudidnt:Let me give you a proof from Allah himself. I hope you would be truthful enough to accept it Quran 3:7 It is He Who has revealed the Book to you. Some of its verses are absolutely clear and lucid, and these are the core of the Book. Others are ambiguous. Those in whose hearts there is perversity, always go about the part which is ambiguous, seeking mischief and seeking to arrive at its meaning arbitrarily, although none knows their true meaning except Allah. On the contrary, those firmly rooted in knowledge say: 'We believe in it; it is all from our Lord alone.' No one derives true admonition from anything except the men of understanding. As an example, according to the Arab scholars, what is the meaning of Qur'an 3:1 Alif, Lām, Meem Ohyoudidnt:The Pharisees obviously understood Jesus but Rejected Him and his message. This was part of the reasons why they killed him. John 8:57-59: "Then said the Jews to him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham? Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the middle of them, and so passed by." John 10:33: "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone you not; but for blasphemy; and because that you, being a man, make yourself God." The Qur'an is written in Arabic which is a Semitic Language like Hebrew. If the Qur'an is not understandable even for the Arabs, woe unto you non Arabs. Quran 12:2 “Behold, We have sent it down in all clarity, in the Arabic tongue, so that you might encompass it with your reason.” Quran 43:3 “Behold, We have made it a Quran in clear Arabic language that you may fully understand.” Unfortunately, Allah seems to have made another mistake 1. Even the Arabs are confused with understanding the Quran 2. Allah himself says that some parts of the Qur'an are not comprehensible 3. The Qur'an cannot be translated into other languages. This, it is a poor choice of language for the Qur'an 4. On the altar of reason, Quran breaks down. Have you ever heard Jews or Christians complaining about the fact that their Books cannot be translated? |

Mr Ohyoudidnt Let me ask you this Question. Qur'an 48:2-3 2. That Allâh may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path; 3. And that Allâh may help you with strong help. Is this not a proof that someone other than Allah wrote the Qur'an? Questions: 1. If the Qur'an is the direct words of Allah, Which "Allah" is the Allah that is supposed to forgive Mohammed? 2. If Allah is the Almighty, why is he using the language "MAY" in prayers? Is he unsure of himself? Only humans use the Word MAY in prayers because we do not control the outcome of the prayers: God does! So we say something like: May God bless you and grant you safety in your journey! " 3. Do you agree that : If Allah truly knows the future, the language MAY shouldn't exist as a prayer with him except if a condition is stated for the fulfilment.? Just three simple questions! TenQ:Well as often is the case I wonder which translation you use. Two translations below use the word allegorical which is quite different from ambiguous. Muhammad Pickthall- He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations - they are the substance of the Book - and others (which are) allegorical. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed. Saheeh International-- It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding. Muhammad Sarwar----- It is God who has revealed the Book to you in which some verses are clear statements (which accept no interpretation) and these are the fundamental ideas of the Book, while other verses may have several possibilities. Those whose hearts are perverse, follow the unclear statements in pursuit of their own mischievous goals by interpreting them in a way that will suit their own purpose. No one knows its true interpretations except God and those who have a firm grounding in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All its verses are from our Lord." No one can grasp this fact except the people of reason. Kindly note the phrase as for those in whose hearts is deviation from the truth Is this a similarity between you and the Pharisees? Your reference to Bible verses of discussion with Jesus need to be contextualized. It only points me to conclude that as an Arabian will understand and interpret Quran 2:18 you only display intentional Violation being set by them so they do not revert. You refer to Surahs that start with letters not understanding the attention calling effect of these? Is what follows not clear? I asked you to provide proof that the Arabians living with prophet Muhammad pbuh when he was alive did not understand what he recited but are yet to and or are unable to. The Arabic in the Quran can be translated however some core meaning may be lost in translation as some meanings too. Imagine a view seen that the Hebrew word translated to serpent in Genesis is not actually a serpent. |

Ohyoudidnt:Even your supporting translations betray you sir. Check the highlighted in yellow Are you telling me that the word مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ (mutashābihātun) can NOT be translated into English with synonyms such as: Ambiguous Unclear Vague Indistinct Obscure Your preferred translation is wrong sir. Is the term "allegory" in Arabic NOT "رمزية" (ramziyya) ? There is no single synonym of ramziyya that is (mutashābihātun), meaning that you have a fraudulent translation Muslims and lies are synonyms: Why then did Allah say (quoting you): None knoweth its explanation save Allah. How do you describe If something is EXPLAINED, yet no one understands it? Ohyoudidnt:I have just shown you above that 1. Allah says you cannot understand some parts of the Qur'an: is Allah telling lies? None knoweth its explanation save Allah. 2. You need to disprove that mutashābihātun mean other than Ambiguous, Unclear, Vague, Indistinct, or Obscure Ohyoudidnt:If the Arabians at the time of Mohammed understood the whole Qur'an, it is a proof that Allahs word in Qur'an 3:7 is false Quran 3:7 It is He Who has revealed the Book to you. Some of its verses are absolutely clear and lucid, and these are the core of the Book. Others are ambiguous. Those in whose hearts there is perversity, always go about the part which is ambiguous , seeking mischief and seeking to arrive at its meaning arbitrarily, although none knows their true meaning except Allah. Ohyoudidnt:1. Did I use the word "MIGHT" anywhere? 2. Did Allah use the word "MIGHT" anywhere in the quoted verse? Focus on exactly what Allah said! My questions were simple: Questions: 1. TenQ:I see you have now promoted yourself to an expert of Arabic language and It's translation to English. Perhaps you can show the arabic word that translates to mean others unspecific, may have several possibilities, unclear statements or are you blinded to see the extent of elucidation of the translators to show the meaning? رمزية (Ramziyya) pertains to symbolism and symbolic representation. مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ (Mutashabihat) relates to similarities or resemblances, particularly in Quranic verses Indeed you clearly show how you feign deliberate ignorance to prevent you accepting a clear truth. When spoken, “may” is commonly used to express possibility or permission in a less formal manner. For example, in everyday conversation, someone might say, “I may go to the store later,” to indicate a potential action without committing definitively. On the other hand, in written language, especially in formal contexts such as academic writing or legal documents, the word “may” is used with more precision and clarity. In writing, “may” is often employed to denote permission or possibility in a specific and deliberate manner. For instance, in a legal contract, the term “party A may terminate the agreement under certain conditions” would be written with clear implications and legal significance. When spoken May is more precise and the Quran is a recitation long before it was committed to writing. ambiguous adjective am·big·u·ous am-ˈbi-gyə-wəs Synonyms of ambiguous 1 a : doubtful or uncertain especially from obscurity or indistinctness eyes of an ambiguous color b : INEXPLICABLE 2 : capable of being understood in two or more possible senses or ways an ambiguous smile an ambiguous term a deliberately ambiguous reply Surely your chosen deliberate ploy of ignorance doesn't allow you to see wisdom in this. TenQ:Do you also imply that Cambridge dictionary is wrong in saying? may modal verb (PERMISSION) B1 formal used to ask or give permission: A reader may borrow up to six books at any one time. "May I help myself to some more food?" "Yes, of course." Hi, my name's Tiffany. How may I help you? Compare might modal verb (PERMISSION) In regards to your view on possibilities do you not understand the difference between how it is used to clearly express possibility? She said she may decide to accept the job offer and may not. And if you prefer Oxford dictionary. used to say that something is possible That may or may not be true. Ohyoudidnt:What has the verse below got to do with oral recital of the Qur'an? Qur'an 48:2-3 2. That Allâh may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path; 3. And that Allâh may help you with strong help. In your senseless arguments you shoot yourself at the foot. Ohyoudidnt:According to your quote, the Oral MAY is even less precise that the written MAY. The oral May conveys a possibility or permission Please which of these two is the MAY of Allah in Qur'an 48:2-3? After the above, you went to smuggle in falsehood completely negating the write-up from your dictionary definition thinking that no one will see it. Ohyoudidnt:According to your writeup, oral MAY is the one that is LESS precise. Can you do yourself a favour by reading your post again. Can Islam survive without Misinformation and Taqqiya? Ohyoudidnt:1. I didn't tell you that I quoted any dictionary as I asked you to quote your dictionary and I gave you synonyms except you are willing to show that the synonyms are WRONG. (Be my guest) 2. Your dictionary has at least three definitions for MAY as MAY=have permission to MAY=used to express a wish or desire MAY=used to express purpose (with examples such as) -we exercise so that we may be strong - possibility of happening he'll do his duty come what may Even though mundane, we have to ask you Which of these three is the MAY of Allah (for all of them express a PERMISSION, a WISH or a POSSIBILITY). Is Allah giving a PERMISSION or he is giving a POSSIBILITY or he is giving a WISH? |

Ohyoudidnt:Sometimes it feels like one is speaking to a dumb adult about logic when discussing with you. In your senseless arguments you shoot yourself at the foot even with your Oxford and Cambridge dictionaries. Qur'an 48:2-3 2. That Allâh may forgive you your sins of the past and the future, and complete His Favour on you, and guide you on the Straight Path; 3. And that Allâh may help you with strong help. 1. Does Allah need permission to do anything? 2. Who is Allah giving PERMISSION to according to Qur'an 48:2-3? I expect you to ramble about as usual This is why Falsehood is easy to catch with simple questions! What is the difference between these two similar sentences 1. I shall forgive you 2. I may forgive you |
