Paul is simply talking about the preaching of the Good News of God's kingdom but it will be very difficult for either a Muslim or Churchgoer to grasp what he meant.

Let me break it down without quoting any book.

We are all intelligent creatures with different opinions and thoughts so there will always be frictions and if care is not taken it could lead us into picking up weapons to annihilate one another so what is the simple way forward?

Don't you think we need to find time to speak with our neighbors one on one in order to come to an agreement on whose opinion will lead to success in solving problems without thinking of how to kill ourselves?

That's what Paul is talking about because Jesus of Nazareth commissioned a group and send them to start going to meet people in their homes one on one to discuss about how we can make the world a better place for us all but Satan realized that with this group 80% of mankind's problems will be solved so he quickly initiated so many religions all claiming they're also talking about God yet members of these false religions are fighting and killing themselves in large numbers.

So when Paul said our faith is pleasing in God's eyes he's talking about the love we have to care for our neighbors and when he said pleasing to man he's talking about what we will all do that both God and man will be pleased!
