TBH, you're only as good(or bad) as your last game. We shouldn't be so quick to criticize him for a meagre 7games, forgetting the other 50something games he was absolutely brilliant.

Saka is a fully-fledged Yoruba boy, just as Eberechi Eze is a fully-fledged Igbo boy. It is very shameful that those two chose to represent a foreign country.

We have diplomats and other foreigners living in Nigeria and birth kids in Nigeria. Does that make their kids Nigerians? Will they represent Nigeria in any sport? The answer is capital NO.

Any full blooded African (not mixed) representing a foreign country is a national embarrassment.
Is it foreign to you or foreign to them?

To be honest, I find it ridiculous to think that you'll feel it's an embarrassment for them to represent their country of birth because their parents are Nigerians. The only reason why those diplomats won't represent Nigeria (or most African countries) is that we don't make it conducive for them(economically, welfare and all). Those same people will happily represent other nations that are well developed and fully functional (example Laporte of Spain and Hernandez of France).

Lemme ask you a question. I believe you've lived all your Nigeria. Let's assume you're a top footballer like Osimhen and you found out your parent's country is Chad. Would you with your church mind go and be representing them knowing fully well how underdeveloped (at least when compared to Nigeria) they are with respect to your skills/experience and also with how foreign you are with their culture and environment?

Griezmann's father is German, and his mom is Portuguese. Giroud is half-Italian. Theo Hernandez is Spanish. Nobody sang about Italians or Germans on that team bus.

Alexis MacAllister has a last name that is clearly far from Spanish. Rodri De Paul is half Italian and has Italian passport. Garnacho was born in Spain to a Spanish father.

Messi is famously fully Italian on both sides of his family.

You didn't hear their names in that song. You didn't hear Enzo sing about competing against teams like Canada,USA, and bloody Jamaica in the 'South American' tournament they just won.

Instead they chose to sing about niggas in Paris.

Boss man, these are not the kind of people you want to cape for.
You are trying to compare apples and oranges in order to hide the truth which has become a manace in African football. Griezmann is mixed, Theo Hernandez father has a French name ( Jean-Francois Hernandez) and a Spanish last name. His mom also has a name of French descent ( Laurence Py ).

How does this relate to Saka and Eze whose parents are both Nigerians with their immediate root in Nigeria.

I don't expect Musiala, Ross Barkley etc to represent Nigeria but I expect full blooded Nigerians to represent their country.

So if Saka or Eze contested for or applied for something in the UK, Will they be right to tell them to go back to Nigeria and you wont think that is racism?

Or you as immigrants or children of immigrants expect to get benefits from the UK but never give anything back?

So you think its a shame Rishi Sunak, Kemi Benenoch or Barack Obama contested in their foreign country instead of the country of their fathers?

Eze and Saka might not even have lived in Nigeria before, they might not speak any Nigerian language, they were born and have lived all their live in UK

You go shout racism on one hand, and advocate for racism on the other hand
You are unserious. These players contribute immensely to UK's GDP and are responsible citizens. Representing their home countries in sport doesn't mean insubordination Mr Raumdeuter.

Using a war torn country as an example? Why not use Nigeria as against England. Nigeria is very underdeveloped compared to England and yes, I will represent my country.

Stop looking for isolated cases of Europeans who play for another country cos even at that, if we dig a little deeper, we will realize that both immediate parents have mixed blood. For example, Theo Hernandez.

The bolded is what most are not getting.

They think it's just easy to go to another country you're not connected to just because it's your fatherland. Imagine Saka that have grown all his life in cold region and sweet playing pitch, only to leave all that for a hot region and bumpy pitch. And las las they won't still pay him his allowance sef.

Not against anybody that wants to come back (like Iwobi) but omorr, nobody should ridicule anyone who doesn't wants to.

You are very misguided if you think that song was about who has the right to play for a country.

Most white Argetines are descended from European immigrants, typically with minimal admixture with indigenous populations. There's a reason many of the surviving top brass of the Nazi regime escaped to Buenos Aires after WW2.

Argentina is an incredibly racist society. It's one thing for people not to like you. It's another thing for you to be trying to rationalise racist actions that even the guy caught on video is at least apologetic for.

France did not play in Copa America. The people singing about the niggas that play for france knew exactly what they were doing. Don't gaslight yourself, nephew Ruckus.

All this forcing, you think Madrid didn't know united were making an offer? Why didn't Madrid increase their offer, if they valued him more than that.

This is business if Madrid don't value him why should they overpay for him?

Actually, I don't understand this tbh?
Why will Harry Kane wants to accept £100m to play in a condition that's alien to him negatively?
Is Spain alien to Messi, too, why he rejected numerous pleas to switch his nationality?
Spain made Messi, give him total support even what Argentina could not afford to give him, but still rejected them just to honour his fatherland.
Representing one's country is about honouring and giving credence to one's roots and origin.

Even most prime players are rejecting Saudi moves(and China moves then) even with all monies promised them. Is it also slave mentality?
Yes, You are just confirming my stance, majority of those who rejected the move are from colonizing countries, while those who accepted are from colonized countries.

It always human nature to go to where conditions and pay are standard and efficient and where their career will be appreciated.
How do they appreciate them? Yes, they appreciate them when they win but they will be singled out for blame when they lose, they hurl derogatory names at them. Meanwhile, they absolve their own of any blame and instead, direct racist slurs at us, calling us monkeys.
(Saka EURO 2000, Baloteli multiple times)

We are all know how most players are being neglected after having injuries by some of these African countries (esp Nigeria) when representing the national team.
Some are forced to even treat themselves with their own money or their clubs are forced to do so.
If I'm correct, I think no foreign player was neglected, but rather, it was the home-based players who were not properly handled. Moreover, it's unfair to generalize and judge the entire African continent based on one bad example.

You think someone like Eze that grew up in England would love to subject himself to this kinda thing?

So why are we making it as if these countries are forcing these players to play for them when in fact, it's our standard of living and publicity that's sub par that's chasing these top talents away?
They shouldn't have approached them in the first place.

Let Africans fix up themselves and we'll be the attraction of the world. We can't act like a 3rd class country then expect first class players/professionals.
If all our players shared this mindset, no one would be willing to represent the nation. But most players consider it an honour and a privilege to play for their country, and they take great pride in representing their nation.

You are judging this based on Argentina's racist history. So your judgement is hinged on that bias and not rationality. Argentina's history with racism is well documented, however, I am strictly judging the Enzo incident.

The important question to ask is, if Enzo truly wanted to be racist intentionally, will he post that video on Instagram only to apologize later ? Enzo simply didn't know the chant will sound racist to sensitive black folks. No one said anything about the post until jobless Fofana who spends so much time with his phone reacted to it from his hospital bed.

Enzo simply succumbed to societal pressure, doesn't mean he intended to be racist and neither was he. Enzo mocked France black players for choosing to represent France instead of their African countries. How jobless Fofana twisted it to mocking their race is beyond me.
