Lalong is currently a senator. He is the immediate past governor of Plateau state. He was appointed minister of Labour, but resigned his ministerial position when the court declared him senator of his senatorial zone.

Considering the uncertainties and failure of this govt so far, who do you think made the right decision between the two of them?

Both of them made the right choice. Lalong just want a peaceful retirement lifeso he opted for the senate. Umahi still want to be seen in the public, controlling a full ministry that has a budget as big as Ebonyi state so he opted for the ministerial appointment

But the failure coming with this govt is also robbing him and damaging his reputation.
His ambition of becoming a president now hangs on the success of this administration and so far, it has been catastrophic.
Meanwhile Lalong still has his reputation intact.

It is easier for Lalong to be a minister in Tinibu's cabinet than for him to be a Senator in his zone.

The choice made by Simon Lalong to protect the Plateau South Senatorial position, was in the interest of the party (APC). If he had chosen to remain as a minister, there would have been a re-run election which could have probably been won by the PDP.
On the other hand, Dave Umahi chose to relinquish his Senatorial position for ministerial position because the APC is more popular in Eboyin than the PDP, based on the 2023 election results .. He has also performed well as a minister of works.

Both of them made right choice, lalong can now take a bow without anwering question in future if he is nominated for appointment that need senate screening .

If it is not for foolishness can't you see Umahi is already creating a leadership role for himself when the presidency return to the South ?

Where a whole Fashola failed over 8 years Umahi succeeded n transform the ministry within just a year. Do you think anyone can erase that record if he keeps it up ?!

Let presidency return to the North let see if Lalong will be considered for VP talk more of being in good stead for the #1 seat.

Lalong is clueless and dimwit. He was the campaign DG of BAT, he couldn't make the first list of ministers which is strange. He knew he will be fired and had to run to the Senate. Idiot that lost his senate seat, if not for the corrupt appeal court which all plateau PDP members lost their legislative seats (NASS & state assembly). He just an opportunist.

Minister position is far better than a senator. I give it up to Umahi💯.

umahi na Igbo man when value money pass em life.lalong na Hausa man when no want be part of those they will call when tinubu failure report card is been read.One of them has integrity the other is a coastal highway armed robber.

If Lalong was given a portfolio like work, Immigration or finance and not Labour, he wouldn’t resign
