The North is wasting Nigeria Resources and their Own resources - through unnecessary and Wasteful Expenses and have been doing so,since independence,1960.
They don't even think the Saudi Arabia is moving forward or the World is far more advanced but are in religiously inclined - by Budgeting More Billions for Ramadan and Ileya, building more Mosque,etc.

I am a Muslim and I believe in primary priorities being taken care of, though going on Hajj is a fundamental rites in Islam but it's purely a personal endeavor and that money can be used to subside say fertilizer for food security, because I am aware that among those Pilgrims there are those that have gone like two to three times and it's only obligatory once

I am not a fan of Tinubu. But it will be a thing of joy if he scraps subsidizing of religious pilgrimages in the country. Religion is individual affair. Government should not meddle in it.

It's preposterous to spend whopping N90Billion on pilgrimages to commune with ephemeral God in times of austerity and anomie.

Government should hands off sponsoring religious pilgrimages.

I believe one day the youths will rise and take back this country. How can a country with high level of unemployment spent such huge of money without an economy value. Going to Mecca or Jerusalem should be on personal level and such individual should sponsor it.

The youths won't take back anything. Tribalism is now so deep rooted among the youths that everything is seen from an ethnic or religious lens.
If you wake up and criticize the Government, you'll be tagged either an Obidient, IPOB, or anti-Islam person. Even if you are from the same state with the President, never voted for LP and youré a Muslim. It doesn't matter with them. Facts! Nigerian govt should not be subsidizing any religious trip, it's an irresponsible thing to do. . . Whereas, muslims are the sole beneficiary of this thing cos Christian pilgrimage isn't a necessity to Christians.
