We all know why things are expensive except we all want to keep deceiving ourselves. Things have been done so wrongly for a long time and for the first time, we have a president who is trying to correct decades of wrong policies and practices.

Nobody can stabilize the country in four years not to even talk of a year. The reforms Tinubu is pushing is for the economic sustainability of Nigeria in the long term. We must all understand this and accept the current challenges as sacrifices we need to make for a better tomorrow.

No president in recent history has dared to fight Subsidy cabal, forex cabals, state governors, northern hegemonist, powerful monopolist like Dangote etc all at the same time. We should be supporting him to win all these battles and not distracting him with all these noise from pained political losers like Dele Momodu, Atiku and Peter Obi.
Most people in this country are not progressive in their thinking ...
Ordinary class captain many can't do well ...
Am judging the president at the end of his first term ... Position i have not been I don't criticize anyhow

HEGOAT OMOmockry does not see bad , impoverising policies of tinubu to criticize but always chose to condemn and criticize those that speak out the TRUTH about SUFFERING of Nigerians under tinubu regime.

He belongs to the category of sensible and reasonable Nigerians who understands the economic situation of the country and appreciate the efforts Mr. President is making to rescue the country from her economic challenges.

Hopefully, the moderators who pushed the blatant lies in Dele Momodu’s post to front page will also push this well articulated response to front page at the right time as well for balanced reading.
Please point out the lies in Momodu's post. He may have reached a bit in terms of his conclusions, but the fact is that Omokri doesn't get it. While Omokri's facts are mostly correct, the average Nigerian has seen a dip in his standard of living and more and more people are slipping into grinding poverty. Inflation is still on the rise and the exchange rate is far from stable.

The wastage of public resources that Momodu highlighted is a huge issue. How can you be obsessed with legacy superhighways when farmers can't evacuate their produce to the cities because of no rural roads? What is the the state of interstate roads? Go take a look at the road between Obajana and Edo State and you'll see how much price of cement would come down in Edo in that road is fixed. And the standard gauge rail project? Yet presidential jets are more important. These are the issues.

I wonder how people lie with confidence.
The only "facts and figures" the masses understand are the ones gotten from street statistics and not these high sounding classroom economics that has no bearing with reality. When push comes to shove, we will all know where IMF and World Bank statistics has taken us all along.

How does all the statistics from these agencies called fact translate to better quality of life of our citizens. Because, in the real sense of the word poverty is in the increase, people are dying, no jobs to put money in peoples pocket and someone is talking about facts in the light of statistics. There may be economic growth but no economic development. Omokri should answer these questions ones asked by Erudite scholar, Professor Dudley Seer, since there is economic growth from his statistics, what about poverty? Standard of living? And unemployment? Between May last year and now.

Facts my ass.
Reality on ground is that things are on gradual increase, people are hungry and the purchasing power of majority of Nigerians has decreased drastically.

If what you are experiencing is not fact enough then go to the markets, visit your friends and see how lunch or dinner is served.

This stupid hero worshipper is quoting IMF when Nigerians are dying. This clown and hypocrite is Nigeria's number one hater. Instead of telling the President the truth to help his administration, he's mocking suffering Nigerians who are dying of starvation. Is it not the same IMF policy that is leading Kenyan youths to protest. Someone should tell this idiot to stop salting Nigeria's injury. Hater of suffering Nigerians.

There's no logic in his argument, just Google picks and mere papar projections.

To you who defends Reno, Are the citizens not supposed to be the ones praising any progress by the government? Why are there grumblings and outcries if there's any progress in the economy?
Forget bros, there's no progress to that would be made as far as the subsidy removal remains, if you like give the government 29years. Unless we have accepted the present day economy as the standard, that's when you can see little progress in the economy, but then the minimum wage shouldn't be anything less than 120k and government should invest aggressively in agriculture to match the cost of living and in the same vein regulate inflation

Tinubu is a hypocrite.

All these you mentioned above were what Jonathan tried to correct and this man today as president opposed it to high heavens.

The question is why did he do what he opposed so badly in 2011/2012?

Response To My Beloved Senior, Dele Momodu: Nigeria's Economy Is Not Collapsing. Far From It!

Finally, the Student Loan promised is now a reality and is being disbursed. That means Nigeria is about to witness a dramatic increase in its human resources, as more youths will have access to education.

Reno Omokri
This ThiefNuibu asslicking with lies is just too much from a supposed pastor with nuggets of wisdom.

Dramatic increase in human resources when tertiary institutions increased fees by over 100% before the student loans kicked off? How many students will benefit from such when jagaBandit is doing emilokan continuity of Buhari's economic cluelessness that has increased our debts by many times over since Reno's former boss was replaced in 2015?

Meanwhile human resources increase starts from primary, vocational and secondary schools being free.

Reno Omokri
Reno Omokri is all talking about what's on paper. Optimistic projections and the rest of it. That's why he say it's not virtually falling. Which he is correct judging by the statistics and figures he shares like PO.

While Dele Momodu is talking about what's on ground that meets the eyes of even the layman, that which affects the ordinary individual. Even people in the villages that farm know that the economy has fallen.
Na through food and purchasing power the ordinary citizen dey take know.

I wish he can come to the grassroots and see things for himself!
