Very sweet fish, it was my favorite at sea seconded by croaker. I missed fishing at sea. Working on a fish trawler was fun those days. Enough prawns and shrimps. |

CrossRhodes:We have other species in abundance especially deep sea..... And we do fish too while at sea (Though in very small quantity, if we want to change our taste buds to the regular Tilapia & croaker fish supplied to our vessel) 1. Mahi-Mahi - Doesn't comes around often and not easy to catch (it do changes colour too) ..... Sometimes it will drag your line and cut it off 2. Tuna - Very easy to catch and loves silver and shiny objects, no need for bait, It has a lot of blood and taste like meat when dried..... 3. Wahoo- Looks like barracuda but without scales 4. Yellow Tail - Sweetest fish of all We have lot of fishes in Nigeria...... Just that both FG and SG aint serious about fish business.... The chinese are fishing illegally in our territorial waters with trawlers even some shrewd business men are doing same without remitting tax to the government. We have another fish called "Torpedo Scad" these type of species are in Quantum.... e no fit finish, e full Naija deep sea 2 Likes

Lol! Snapper fish. The name reminds me of the potentially dangerous freshwater turtles _SNAPPING TURTLES. Snapping turtles are so called because of their aggressive disposition towards intruders and the powerful bite they can deliver. Alligator snapping turtle found in the US is the biggest type of snapping turtle and can deliver a powerful bite, capable of crushing a man's fingers or even amputation of the fingers. They are however not as aggressive as other types of snapping turtles but will bite if provoked or threatened. Their powerful jaws are hooked like an eagle's beak. Lol! Through my childhood days,I never knew that there are species of turtles that are aggressive and bite,till I began watching Wildlife documentaries. My thoughts then were that all more than 300 species of turtles are harmless. |
