18mil in canada is $15k. You won't see house rent anywhere for 1k in canada at the moment maybe a studio in basement. So that's 12k from ur 15k(this is assuming you get PR and not school fees cos that 18 mil cannot cover tuition & living expenses). What I will advice is go with visiting visa stay for 6 months and see if it's worth it

Places like Ontario you can't get a 2 bedroom for that amount. If you are on a low budget, you can share the 2 bedroom with someone pending when you are fully settled financially.

Lastly, don't waste 18M to come to Canada on a visitor's visa with the hope of using it to work. As for converting your visitor's visa to work permit, e no easy o. It is frustrating and not worth it. Better to do the right thing. Thanks

Frankly I want to avoid this debate about Germany Vs Canada in this topic. So I will leave that.

I support your opinion though. When I moved (through PR-PNP), I noticed a lot of People then wanted BC, AB, ON. I “ Jejely” considered cost of living, quiet place to raise kids if I get married, where to easily buy a house, a conservative province, etc etc. Arriving Sask, the jobs were there. And even till date the same Company that recruited people , especially students that I arrived with in Sask, are still having positions open. Till date! And they pay from 18 CAD Per Hour for Child Care Providers in Child Care Homes. Most of the Ladies and students went into Child Care. The Province also enjoys the Child Care Benefits of up to 500 CAD per month per child if you are a PR. Women with 3 kids here are getting 1500 CAD which helps with ALL Utility bills plus groceries, while they work two jobs for those that want to.

Back then, No one was looking at SK. Everyone wanted top and warmer provinces. I am not saying they are wrong for doing so. It is just that as you said, Strategy is important. I intentionally avoided those MAJOR CITIES AND PROVINCES. Today, even within CA as a country, many citizens and residents (people) are moving to Sask. due to lower cost of living and less Social issues like the drug addiction and homelessness in BC, especially Vancouver.

Like everything in life there are disadvantages. First, it is a colder province and generally colder country than many others including Nigeria. Also, if you are looking for the Nigerian life of merriment and noise and large population of people you won’t get it. Most of Canada and Saskatoon is quieter than most Nigerian Cities. Meaning, you might miss the social interactions you easily have in Nigeria, as the entire country is a “mind your business and be polite” sort of country. Also, Nigerian’s don’t interact much or support one another much as the Arabs and Asians (especially Indians) do. Nigerians still have this evil spirit of unhealthy competition and competitiveness where they are only excited and appear WHEN IT IS TIME TO SHOW OFF, SHOW SUCCESS, DISPLAY WEALTH AND RUB IT IN THE FACE OF FELLOW NIGERIANS!!! That is all Nigerians are usually good for. The “pepper them” ; “show them we are ballers and living large” and the “See? I better pass you, my car fine pass your own” mentality. These bad attitudes and lack of love and support for fellow countrymen is still rife. They may claim and lie that this is not true, but ask them why and how Indians and Arabs are taking over the country? They may claim that they will assist, but do not count on any Nigerian 100%. HAVE solid multiple backup plans in case Nigerian fails you. Someone says it is because we all know ourselves to be evil. Because you can help a Nigerian and then run into big trouble in many ways! The person’s argument is that Nigerians also know how to be evil and criminal and dubious. And when they are in that state, they forget the good you have done to them and help you have rendered them. ''When they want to be criminally minded for selfish and greed inspired and motivated gains, a Nigerian will easily kill his own mother and drink her blood.''

God bless you for this. You nailed it. I am in Sask with my family and I know the healthcare organization that pays 18Cad you are talking about lol. Truth is, people prefers to live in big areas with high cost of living without considering the repercussion. Sask is a good place. I moved to Sask not quite long and I currently have 2 jobs. A private job and a government job with lots of benefits. I have the opportunity of having 4 jobs but decided to remain with 2 cos I have to fend for the kids. Getting PR here is also not difficult if you follow the right process. The province is not popular like Ontario etc and people don't ask questions before relocating. People wonder how fast I have been able to settle in fast especially my friends that chose Ontario. Some are still not working at the moment and many are planning to move to Sask upon completion of their programs.

Aside Sask, their are many other provinces that new immigrants can settle in fast. I do not have any regret moving to Sask. Buying a house here and training children is not that difficult compared to other areas. I wish everyone good luck.

my candid advice with all research.
Germany is the best, in term of job security, transportation, accommodation etc
BUT you have to learn basic german language and travel alone first
after 4yrs with good job and clean record you can apply for resident permit.

with your 18m apply through https://chancenkarte.com, with this you have access to stay in Germany for one year and search for job which am 98% sure you will get a job within 3months but try and have alternative job as plan B, job is sure.

They too are stringing up their immigration policy now.. you would need huge amount of money to Japa(via student route). Although you may need half of that amount if you are going through the pr route. But you think it is to get or now?

But what I would advice is anyone that have Australia in mind should act fast ow like I mean start pronto.. cos 2-3yrs from now japa to Australia may be favourable again.

Australia would forever remain the best country to Japa for me. It my dream someday.
