The Thief Comes to Steal, Kill, and Destroy. John 10:10-11
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. [11]“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. NLT.

Good morning dear friends, I welcome you to today’s teaching titled; the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. This teaching is designed to show us the mode of operation of satan in contrast to God. It is important to know one’s enemy and the enemy’s strategy in navigating life. In understanding the strategy of satan, the best piece of information about him comes from God who created and knows everything about him.

The major thing about the devil is that he takes away by stealing. The purpose of the thief (devil) is to bring about reduction or loss. He aims at stripping people off their prized assets. He did this when he made Adam and Eve fall in the garden of Eden which led to the loss of God’s glory on them and why they were sent out of Eden. Genesis 3:1-8: The serpent was the shrewdest of all the wild animals the lord God had made. One day he asked the woman, “Did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?” [2]“Of course we may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,” the woman replied. [3]“It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’” [4]“You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. [5]“God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” [6]The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too. [7]At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their unclothedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves. [8]When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the lord God among the trees. NLT. Genesis 3:23-24: So the lord God banished them from the Garden of Eden, and he sent Adam out to cultivate the ground from which he had been made. [24]After sending them out, the lord God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden. And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. NLT.
There is no end to the devil stealing from people. He steals anything that is of value even if the one in possession of it is unaware of it. Matthew 13:19: The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. NLT. The devil does not want people to be free from their bandage. Thus, he steals anything that can lead to their freedom.

Also, the second thing he does is to kill, he is a master of destruction. Killing is one of his signature moves. We have that in his efforts to kill baby Moses and Jesus. Matthew 2:16-18: Herod was furious when he realized that the wise men had outwitted him. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, based on the wise men’s report of the star’s first appearance. [17]Herod’s brutal action fulfilled what God had spoken through the prophet Jeremiah: [18]“A cry was heard in Ramah—weeping and great mourning. Rachel weeps for her children, refusing to be comforted, for they are dead.” NLT. Lastly, he destroys. The devil leaves lives in ruins, utterly useless. He did that in the life of the mad man of Gadara. Luke 8:26-39.

However, God gives life because life both biological and spiritual (eternal life) is in Him. He does not just give life, He gives it to the full, there is no end to it. Therefore, if you are reading this and you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, I urge you to do so now and receive the life of God as against the offer or influence of the devil which is meant to destroy you by saying this prayer wholeheartedly; Lord Jesus, I confess you as my Lord and saviour today, please save me and be my lord and bring me into your fold. Amen. If you have recited the prayer wholeheartedly, I congratulate you and I welcome you to the family of God. Make sure you join a bible believing church as you start your journey in Christ.

The devil has one ultimate mission _ dragging as many souls as possible to eternal damnation to share his final punishment with him.
He is very ruthless and has so blinded his agents and all those under his influence that they can not see the light of the Truth.
His human agents are so blinded that they fail to realise that they will share the damnation of Hell with him.
The devil can't give what he doesn't have.
Despite his great powers,he has no Salvation and can't give his followers that.
Wherever he is, that's where his agents and those acting according to his promotion of sin will be.
That's what Lucifer told a grand conference of Principalities and Powers also attended by few privileged human agents who are so powerful as to be able to meet with him regularly.
A former agent of Darkness who was once delivered in Chosen Ministry around 2009 disclosed this in a video confession.
She disclosed that Lucifer is telling his demons " Hurry hurry with your tasks on earth, for we haven't much time left before the Son of Man returns.
American pastor Jonathan Timmons also said this same thing surprisingly in his book "MYSTERIOUS SECRETS OF THE DARK KINGDOM"
That's why evil is increasingly becoming more and more rampant all over the world.
Wickedness is soaking up human feelings in people.
SELFISHNESS is breeding all sorts of wicked acts towards other people.
Satan is really serious and focused on his trifold mission _KILL, STEAL AND DESTROY.
Unfortunately those outside the Saving Blood and Grace of The Lord Jesus would be caught up in his malicious net.

We all know who that thief is in today's Nigeria.

In a sane world, government protects it citizens against these excesses. But in Africa, the failures of government is now the devil
