Kano TikToker Abusalma Remanded In Prison For Calling Anti-Hunger Protest

His arrest came after he posted a viral video calling for widespread protests against the country's economic hardship.

Junaidu Abdullahi, a well-known TikTok creator, Junaidu Abdullahi, who goes by the handle Abusalma, has been arrested and remanded in prison custody.

According to reports, security agents detained Abusalma on Friday. He was subsequently arraigned in court and remanded in a Kano prison.

LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPER recalls that some youths scheduled to hold a protest tagged #EndBadGovernment and have gained traction in the North.

Abusalma, who is obviously in support of the planned action, made a now-deleted video, saying that any Islamic cleric who spoke against the planned protest should be pulled down from the pulpit.

“Any religious leader who spoke against peaceful protest over hardship, then he is not part of those suffering.

“And whoever stops you from expressing your grievances to your leaders through peaceful protest as provided by the constitution, I swear he is not among those who can’t afford a sack of maize at N100,000."

Tinubu is running a bad govt ridden with bad economic policies that has taken food off the citizens table while him and the politicians are eating fat.
And the werey says the people must endure and must not complain huh

Tinubu and his govt should just build more prisons before 1st August if they would be able to arrest everyone that would protest because that protest go happen and it will be loud.

Nobody should protest for hardship rather protest to restructure, change constitution or divide the country.

In January 2012, Bayo Onanuga and many JagaBandits supported the protest against Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, this was when a bag of rice sold for N6000.
Today, Bayo Onanuga and the JagaBandits like Yarimo, Paraman, Helinues, TemplarLandry are vehemently against protests even when a bag of rice is N85,000 and about 89 million living below the poverty line.

As long as it's going to be a peaceful protest - whether North, East, West or South - I'm in full support.

Reno Omokri is neither Igbo, Yoruba, nor Hausa, yet he has succeeded in polluting the minds of the major tribes against one another.
