Seun Okin's interview on Politics Today featured PDP's Dele Momodu

Seun Okinbaloye: Are you saying those around the President, like you have inferred in your letter that perhaps those around the President are not telling hik the truth? And they are not advising him well, are you saying that the President does not have competent hands in his cabinet to deal with the economic situation in the Country?

What exactly are you saying in straight terms?

Momodu: I am someone who believes in star-studded cabinet. If you ask me today, President Ibrahim Babangida, minus the June 12 annulment he had one of the best cabinets in Nigeria and he tried his best.

Obasanjo, Baba also tried his best to assemble some of the best brains but today, God is my witness, if you ask me to name ten Ministers in Tinubu's cabinet and to tell you what they did or did not do before they were appointed, i will struggle and that is the truth and ask an average person.

Look, what we have today is that someone transferred the Lagos template to Abuja and that's why we are failing. Nigeria cannot keep on running on compensation, compensating my friends ...''

You should stop using this Lagos designer term except you're referring to others that have led Lagos state prior to 19999. The Lagos of today isn't unilaterally built by one man even though one man has influenced successive governors.

Meanwhile, Nigeria is different from Lagos and if all your knowledge of Nigeria ends with Lagos, you don't know what's really going on.

Naturally, Nigeria is hard to govern and to now imagine that those at the elms of affairs are not sincere?

No state has ever been the seat of government for decades.
If portharcourt was the chosen seat of government all through the colonial and independence, lagos would have been like Ibadan.

Can anyone clearly tell me the direction this country is going?
We just wake up everyday to hear news that does not show indication of a progressive nation.
No one can predict what is next in Nigeria.

If the president is driving us to a true federal state we don't know.

If he is working on regaining and restoring the honor and value of Naira we don't know.

If he is reviving the economy with policies that will bring robust prosperous economy we don't know, even Dangote is confused with all the unstable policies..

* Food and Agriculture is nothing (Ebi Npawa o, cost of food is sky rocketing every hour)
* Education is nowhere (Nigerian youths are running away to even Ghana to school)
* Health is worse (Don't even fall sick in Nigeria of today, drugs are so expensive)
* Infrastructure is something I don't want to mention
* Transportation fare is back breaking

Until we have a visionary leader who is energetic and can effectively communicate his vision to the Nigerian populace and carry well meaning Nigerians along his vision, this country will just go auto..

Me I don't even know where precisely the aso rock occupier is taking Nigeria.
