3223 Attacking formation

Indeed it is the classic 3223 formation. Maresca did mention that Nkunku is the swiss-army knife player in the squad, able to play in all sorts of positions.

@Blueangel maybe this answers or thoughts about who deputies in midfield.

10 mins in and nothing crazy so far. Been a number of loose passes attempted through midfield. Been ponderous more than anything but it's still early on.

George and Madueke have had to turn back everytime they've received the ball

Long balls from Colwill/Tosin towards Guiu have been the best avenue.

Guiu just fails to make contact with Nkunku's glanced header from James' cross.

Haram poch beat this Wrexham 5 nil for last preseason if we no fit then that means we're in s huge problem.

I was thinking the same about 5 mins ago. We are going to miss James bombing down that right hand side.

I'm liking Guiu already. Such a willing runner. Strong too.

Tyrique and Marc liveliest so far.

Player and ball movement improved as the half went on
Still not a great showing, but it's the first game.

I like how Guiu was making himself available with those runs. Maresca needs a great dribbler upfront against teams with low block.
