lol. Why violate the law in the first place. It’s crazy how people invest millions of their hard earned money to develop a property without getting the necessary approval or in violation of approvals given to them. Nigeria is not a lawless country and people should stop being lawless. Impunity is what got us to where we are as a country.
Nigeria is a lawless country if not someone who attended secondary school in 1970 while the school was built in 1974 won't be president, ganduje on video red-handed ,please don't preach about lawlessness to us we are all Nigerians

Did you say hard earned money? Lol. It's stolen money...people's money and why they don't care. They're always backed by their political allies. They often forget that power is transient and the next administration can deal with them over their impunity

Samuel Nwanosike have been in the corridoor of power right from the Rotimi Ameachi regime.
He is not new in making money from state contract's and NDDC jobs.
I was even shocked that he agreed to run for LGA chairman, a position I see him to be too low for his caliber of politician.
did he execute the contracts well, or it was a case of collect money and abandon the contract or do some substandard job?

Quest7777:
How much is the salary of LG chairman that he can build such big hotel? Obviously built with looted funds.

One of the vital keys to good governance is to block all loopholes for looting by public officials.
Until this is done, Good Governance remains a pipe dream.
Oil bunkering money.

Says who please stop lying,Nwanosike was no contractor with NDDC,he was only a councillor under Ameachi's administration and was given contract by Wike as a junior minister.

Condemned the actions of the governor, which is politically motivated. If they have been in good terms, will be sealed it. Jobs are about to be lost.

Fubara don enter wike mode.

Before you go and risk your neck for one Oga at the top, ask yourselves if you are as protected as that Oga at the top. We must learn a lesson.
this lesson applies mostly to those urchins used by politicians to start tribal hate and bigotry. It's now worth fighting for any politician. All of them just day fight for their belle.
Re: I Violated The Building Law - Nwanosike in heated exchange over sealed hotel by MimiSheWrote(f):
Nigeria's corruption has reached farcical levels. The fact that a local government chairman can build a luxury hotel with pilfered funds is a stark illustration of the country's problems. If such a relatively low-ranking official can embezzle vast sums with ease, it's chilling to consider the extent of corruption among more senior officials, including commissioners, governors, senators, ministers, and even the president. The brazen disregard for the law and the sheer scale of looting are a dire indictment of the nation's governance.

Umahi, the works minister did this same thing here in Abuja where one of his hotels was approved for 2 storey but he increased to 3 storey.
Development control stopped the work but he later got his way and completed it. This is the person that called himself a civil engineer and a leader.. is very unfortunate!

Nwanosike: I agree I violated the law and want to pay contravention fee.

I will it to you and Fubara but it will not change anything.

How can I pay N555m contravention fee.
What money is he using to pay the contravention fee?

How did he get that money in the first place as a Local government chairman?

The masses don't benefit from this fight of the elite rather their resources get wasted.

The corruption and the ego on display here in Nigeria makes me wonder if this is not some animal kingdom because normal humans can't behave like this.

I feel you should look beyond politicking.Building 6 floors on a 5 floor approved foundation is evil .
When it falls in future, standard of materials would be blamed but right here is a man's greediness.

Right, the Governor is dealing with his perceived political enemies, although in this case, Nwanosike admitted he violated the law.
But as a citizen, I'm more concerned with good governance than taking sides in their fight.
