Noo.... You guys overestimated Asiwaju. Fo you know why Prof Yaks didn't rig elections in the South? To show Asiwaju that you can't win without us!

As for 2027.... Let his Govt survive it first that's all I can say!

obaidan:
i see what u are saying but u do not know Bola Tinubu, he will rig his way in and nothing will happen, he does not care about rule of law. That is his way. From the day he was sworn in he has started strategizing for 2nd term, 2nd term agenda is much more important to him than the state of the economy, He is going to have both Wike and Fubara on his side, they are going to be more brutal with the rigging in Lagos in 2027, you will be shocked the numbers that will come out of Kano. Bola Tinubu is the master of creating a 1-party state, watch how PDP will appear weaker than it was in 2023, watch how plenty freedome fighters will start springing up party now, a lot of them are being used by decoy but they do not know, Femi Falana said the other day that him and some people are in the process of floating a party that will save Nigerians, is that not voters of Petre Obi's LP that will be moved again? Tinubu will divide whichever state he can divide and rig all the ones he can rig, the same way they wrote results in Lagos, Plateau and Rivers, now they have power, they have INEC totally, they have military, they have police, watch how he is going to move.
We warned Nigerians, 4 years vote for Tinubu na indirect 8 years

I tend to think that the problem is, we want servicies to be cheap...which in turn impacts on the provision of such services. I mean, I paid N2000 for my university fees. Cheap, but it meant that I stayed in hostels that were awful, had poorly equipped labs and libraries,(I had to buy my own textbooks to stay ahead), and struggled with reading in poor light sometimes.

If we wanted to be serious, we could end subsidy, and promote industrial development. That however means a long period of suffering. China, Korea and Japan that did such things suffered for a while(JAPAN and Korea used to have large numbers of their people japaing abroad because there were no jobs for them at home...that's why some North and South American countries have large populations of Japanese descendent people as well as Koreans). ....and no Nigerian leader wants to promise that.

Independence was promoted on the idea that we would get more money, instead of sending a huge chunk to london. If our independence leaders had told us the truth, that nation building to the level of being a prosperous first world nation is going to mean harsh conditions for a while, we would still be a british colony today.

The good aspect of it is that BAT is gatheing powerful enemies and at this rate, the chances that he will return in 2027 keep reducing as powerful and wealthly forces coaslesce with the masses to work against him. That bodes well for the common man because BAT is the worst thing to befall this country since independence.
Obi go just dey smile, cos it is getting more easier for him to win coming election.
But I fear BAT, that man will do anything possible to remaining in power. Either through restructuring, rigging, the six year single term we are hearing about.
Except things turn around to be good and better in Nigeria

You may dislike Dangote, because he has been with Govt patronages all this while but,he has outsmarted those in Power- by Creating Jobs, Employments for Millions of Nigerians, which Many Politicians in Nigeria both (Past and Present- especially the Governos, the Ministers and other States Executives, etc,) can't do,but have been taking the same Resources in Dollars to- UAE, Europe, USA,London, Dubai - with many having Properties in these Countries, thereby providing Jobs for other Citizens, while Nigerians Youths remains jobless because of our blind- leaders!
Just imagine the Youths today- without jobs, and without a say- in their affairs!
-Nigerians should not throw away the baby with water nor shall we look at the Messager ( Alh Dangote but his Message to be a True and Patriotic Nigerian.
• His Productions in the Key Areas of:
- Salt Productions,
- Sugar Production
- Cement Production and
- Now Oil and Gas Productions ( the largest in Africa) and the Foreign Exchange Income ( FOREX) that will follow.
Now,he has stated his intention to build Iron Productions and the govt and their Fraudulent Agencies and Footsoldiers -are fighting to be relevant,by calling him different names- Monopoly ' and they couldn't think beyond name calling,as if he is suppressed today, another Monopoly or even Oligopoly -will not rise up in Nigeria!
-It is those still in NNPC- Management and it's Subsidiaries -are the real enemies of Nigerian People,as they don't want average Nigerians to enjoy this God given Oil- with reduced Prices!
They should be fired because they are holding Nigerians to ransom - imagine out of OPEC Members - only Nigeria - Couldn't maintain a Functioning Refinery - is that a good report?
- these are People that can't maintain Functional Refineries for Decades but are just occupying certain Interests - not the Masses interests.
- these NNPC-should go and learn from Petrobass of Brazil and go to learn from ARAMCO of Saudi Arabia.
We have rotten Ministry, Agencies and Depts - all over Nigeria,as they represent their Selfish Interests and Foreign alibi and it's the likes of Dangote-that can save the Common Man,if the Common man,is really ready,to join hands with him for their liberation.

We say that because we can't have what we want.

We somehow want good roads, good electricity, good office jobs, and so forth, and we don;t want to wake up and realize that it takes time to get there.

That is why tinubu government is paying a subsidy of 700 million a month, and owing fuel companies 6 billion dollars in import costs, simply because if he does not do that, he would be forced to end subsidy raise prices, and lose votes. That is why Buhari borrowed to hide the cracks, and GEJ caved to the ojota protesters.

I hate saying that we need to get things the hard way. But look at Russia...in the good old days, under communism, everything was cheap. Until the debt rose to a point in the 1980's when sustaining cheap became difficult. Result...bare shelves, food scarcity, etc.

Now Russia does capitalism. Nothing like scarcity again.

Things might get so worse for Nigeria if Tinubu does not take decisive actions to calm things down.

No matter the accusation against Dangote, it is still far far better than reallying on foreign products and foreigners.

The waivers are why cement is not costing 49999 naira for a 25 kg bag now.

I really feel bad for Dangote, I really do but when he was enjoying during OBJ, GEJ and Buhari regime.. he was smiling while others were crying..

Just like they say, it is turn by turn..

I remember when Obj withdrew Ibeto cement license and dangote cement rose in popularity because Ibeto covered most of the SE, SS and some SW and these are the region with the most new construction.. so , somehow ibeto was squeezed out of the game..

During ObJ tenure, once Dangote sugar refinery was almost complete.. obasanjo banned importation of sugar.. then later ban this and that because it was alleged dangote was involved in those business enterprises...
for clarication ibeto cement license to import was withdrawn because government.had a policy to only license cement that is made in Nigeria, ibeto didn't invest in a cement plant and his imports was stopped, now Nigeria is exporting cement to other countries, monopoly is when you are the only source of that product and can dictate the prices you want, dangote refinery is not a monopoly, there are other turnkey refineries in Nigeria,if they want to let them reduce the price of their Diesel to #700 naira a litre and compete with dangote, the worst mistake tinubu will make is picking a fight with dangote,he is challenging the north and it will not end well at the polls

Basic problem is, the government does not want to remove subsidy.

If Dangote refinery comes on line, it means that fuel would be sold at a high price of over N1000 for it to work well. The government knows that, hence the delay tactics.

Also, those who benefit from the importation of refined products and the subsidy money would lose out. The winners would be Dangote and other domestic refineries that are coming up.

The truth is, most Nigerians prefer cheap fuel, most of the elite prefer the subsidy mechansim and imports to continue. Their interests coincide. The result is that we never ever get to domestic refining.

All because of cheap fuel.
Oh, so you're finally starting to have sense?

When you spent endless months on this space arguing in favour of subsidy removal, some of us tried opening your eyes to the Nigerian reality, but you were too fettered to your textbook convictions to reason otherwise.

Every single Nigerian is going to learn very hard lessons under this government. That is a promise!
