Rivers State: In Defiance Of Court Order, PDP Proceeded With The Ward Congress The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has gone ahead with its ward congresses in Rivers State, despite two court orders prohibiting the exercise. Members were seen on Saturday at the PDP Secretariat in Port Harcourt, collecting materials for the congress, which they claimed were for their respective wards. They departed for their various councils after receiving the materials. This development comes despite two court orders stopping the exercise. It can be recalled that Justice Charles Wali had prohibited the party, its national chairman, and national secretary from holding ward, local government, and state congresses in Rivers State until the court hears and determines the suit before it. BERNIMOORE:Stop talking all these ignorant crap. Just say that the Nigerian judiciary keeps getting bleeped from all angles. It was a Rivers State high court that stopped APC primaries under Amaechi's leadership in 2018. They refused to obey it and the Supreme Court sacked them for it. It was still a Plateau state high Court that stopped APC from conducting congresses in 2023, They refused to obey and were kicked out.. How can you get court order on the same thing the federal high court had given a go ahead order. To those saying it will go the APC way in 2019 did you read the FHC order at all?In 2019,those that bought APC Congress form were not allowed to participate hence the court actions. But in this case PDP was smarter with the FHC order stating that only those that bought forms should be allowed to participate in the Congress following the party guidelines. Sim and his goons did not revalidate their membership and didn't buy form so on what basis are they stopping the Congress? Also you go to Appeal court from FHC ? PDP is truly a party that thrives on lawlessness. Defying a court order just shows how desperate they are to cling to power, even if it means trampling on justice.
