Opinion: The Best Days Nigeria Ever Had Was During Military Rule. by Electorate(op):
The current crop of selfish looting politicians will demonize the Military rule even when it is obvious the military style administration suite our configuration.

Their major catch phrase has always been "There won't be freedom of speech and human rights" even when the worst human rights abuses were done under democratic rule.

It is only a clown that will choose freedom of speech in place of hardship...you don't even have anything sensible to make comparison with it is freedom of speech your brain can relate with.

All major infrastructure across the Federation were built by the military e.g International Airports, All our Ports, Third Mainland bridge etc

All our refineries worked under the military.

Military didn't prevent Nigerians from protesting.

Nnamdi KANU still in detention in a DEMOCRATIC government.

Former first lady Aisha Buhari locked up someone for insulting her online because she is the first lady

Looting under DEMOCRATIC government is mind boggling.

Democracy in Africa is a curse, our ancestors strived during monarchy rule because a black man shouldn't be granted freedom to behave anyhow the like because they lack the maturity to do so.

The best days Nigeria ever had were during the military era which I am a witness of.

This is my opinion due to what is currently happening, Anybody saying Nigeria made any single progress after the Military allowed us to rule ourselves is an enemy of Nigeria... Nigeria is the only country in world that is
retrogressive instead of progressing.

For some but not for alot of people.

- I remember Abacha stove.
- I remember when people were scared to mention Abacha's name in public.
- I remember when all tv stations and newspapers had to praise Abacha, his wife, and Abacha's best friend Alhaji Gambo Jimeta, all the time.
- I remember Abacha's assassin squad.
- During Abacha era, Nairaland won't even exist. It would be shut down and the owner charged for treason and hung like Ken Saro Wiwa and the Ogoni 9.
- if Abacha was here, Nnamdi Kanu would have been hung a few days after capture.

But you could afford three square meal and get to work on time. You could finish school and still have a job waiting for you...Is that not better than today's present hardship?

Nigeria needs a fearful and fearless leader like Abacha but less corrupt, most of the infrastructure you enjoy today was built by Abacha

They have started another round of Nzeribeism

This is not the first time they have been calling for truncation of our democracy .

They started this rubbish when Tinubu got the APC ticket when they began calling for an interim govt and indefinite postponement of the elections

They called for military take over when their candidate was set to lose (again) before the judiciary.

They repeated this same call when coup waves were sweeping the Sahel

They are now calling for it again.

They have shown time without number that they are anti democratic and want an end to our democracy.

Anybody thinking these Obidients mean well for Nigeria needs their heads examined.

It's expected.

When your grandfathers were losing out in the scheme of things early in our nation's history , they carried out a bloody coup and installed themselves as supreme rulers of all.

I wonder if it's the same army that you have been labelling as genocidal against your people that you will run to celebrate when they get power .

This envy and bitterness will get you no say.

Any agenda based on malice is doomed to destroy those who set forth before it.

1960 to 1964
1971 to 1979
1998 to 2013

These were the reasonable years in Nigeria. The others have been years of the locust.

Nostalgia, the past is always good.

Dictatorships are inherently more corrupt than democracies no matter how good the leaders are.

A dictator's primary concern is political stability, he wants to keep his power above all else - the problem is that in order to develop a country and build the necessary structure, a regime has to impose taxes, imposing taxes will hurt the masses and this would lead to political instability, so it is always in the best interest of a dictatorship to reduce the development of his country while increasing propaganda about how things are good.

Only someone with mental problem will be envious of hardship, it is not difficult to see you have already signed a lifetime contract to be unfortunate in life.
