choose the option that says " link nin" first then input your nin and summit.
after you come back to the option 5 then click on the "update sim info" ,then click on "accept" to give consent with nin biodata then wait for confirmation.

You can link your MTN number with your NIN without going to their office. I did mine on my bed without going to Thier office

How will you receive OTP on the line when it has already been blocked?

When I did mine, I couldn't call or send message, but I can receive calls and messages

My line got barred yesterday without a prior notice. I have been asked to go to an MTN shop to link my NIN. This is a line that is already linked.

If they do that, we shall also nt use their network again

you know these APC government have a lot of dubious tactics. First it was fuel scarcity and now SIM barred in the same week.

why are you supporting this rubbish? Phone that was already linked to nin with all confirmation several times got suddenly blocked, I think MTN is conniving with the government because of the dreaded protest

the solution is going to their office. You cannot do anything with your line. The crowd at MTN offices nationwide is disturbing.

My Glo line was blocked too. I can't stress myself going to their office for now. The crowd there is alarming. I have linked my line with my nin yet they blocked it. I sent message to Glo via Twitter and I was told to visit their office.

Then Nigerians as a United people should boycott any service provider who chooses to sabotage them.

You think MTN blocked lines because of nin problem?
These blocked lines are either 3g lines or old lines.
You must upgrade your SIM by force
We are gradually entering 6g era,so it truly does not make sense if 3g line is still available.

To whom it may concern, MTN didn't blocked these lines because of nin linking issue.
They only blocked old Sims and 3g sims.
Ask the user of these blocked lines,they know they are either using old sims or 3g sims.

I got to know the real reason behind the incessant blocking of sims because I'm an agent,I work for MTN,Glo and Airtel altogether.

It would have been better if these blocked lines can be upgraded at any SIM registration outlets but it's a pity that any blocked victim will need to go to their network's head office to upgrade their SIMs.

It would have been better if these blocked lines can be upgraded at any SIM registration outlets but it's a pity that any blocked victim will need to go to their network's head office to upgrade their SIMs.

An MTN office close to me was filled to the brim on Friday. People were everywhere trying to unblock their sim card. Only God knows how it would be tomorrow. Na wa o!! MTN should create outlets to reduce the crowd. It's overwhelming

The above was from a colleague who works with MTN. I wasn't affected so I didn't try it out.
