Borno state government has distributed the twenty truckloads of rice procured by the federal government as part of efforts to ameliorate hardship occasioned by the rise in prices of food items and other basic amenities.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum personally supervised the distribution of the commodities to thirty_ five thousand deserving beneficiaries in Monguno town supported by the senator representing Northern Borno, Muhammad Tahir Monguno and other government officials.

Monguno local government in northern Borno hosts internally displaced persons from about four local government areas affected by the insurgency necessitating continued distribution of palliative there.

This informed the decision to distribute the twenty trucks of rice sent to Borno by the federal authorities in the community to reach out to the vulnerable and less privileged. with each of the thirty-five thousand male beneficiaries receiving a 25kg bag of rice.

Additionally, each of them got a 10kg bag of cowpeas, procured by the state authorities as farm inputs to enable them to participate in this year's farming season.

Similarly, each of the forty _five thousand female residents got clothing material procured by the state government and ten thousand naira as part of the financial inclusion policy of the state government.

Governor Zulum who was full of praises for the Tinubu administration for the continued show of compassion to the plight of the citizenry also acknowledged receipt of ninety trucks of fertilizer free of charge for distribution to farmers to boost food production across the country.

While in Monguno, Governor Zulum also inspected the ongoing construction of the Dental and Eye Hospital as well as the School of Nursing as part of efforts to provide healthcare needs of the people and to bridge the manpower gap in the health sector as well as the Dental hospital where he expressed satisfaction with the quality and speed of work, urging the officials handling the project to expedite action. SOF

The Governor pledged to recruit more personnel to ensure effective services for the institutions.

I have never seen a region been spoonfed with government handouts like the Muslim North. That's why they start complaining and threatening to revolt against the government whenever stipends stop coming.

In other words, if these handouts continue for the next one week or a fortnight, none of them will bother protesting again 🙂🙂🙂

If no be say some people have proven to not be trusted, the governor is supposed to delegate this to some members of his cabinet to do. But trust me, the items will be cornered.

I commended the governor because he didn't divert the palliative. As for the federal government, they're the reason people are staying on queue for some rice. They're the cause of everyone's pains. It's not like a pandemic that's beyond anyone's might, it's something that can be fixed. Let me just put you up a bit.
1. Subsidy removal with zero plan to curtail its effect.
2. Floating the naira without first investing in our economy to become productive from consumption.
3. Having at least one working refinery (Dangote's) but refused to take advantage of it to better the nation out of jealousy over the plight of the masses. Why not bring back subsidy now, sell to Dangote at lowest price, then regulate the price as thus:
Diesel N200
Fuel N100
Kero N50

I will praise FG when they start solving problems and not creating more hardship.

Nigeria is the only country in the world where you must set up a committee to watch and investigate a problem after it’s solved

If not that solution to that problem might cause more problems

It is not the solution to anything, boy. Look, by the time you go to the market to buy Gas or kerosene, spices, oil, tomatoes, etc. in order to cook that rice which won't last for more than a month, you'll discover that you've been trapped because things would be more expensive and the government would told you they've given you rice. I don't know if they expect the rice to last forever. If not that you're a blind follower, you would have seen it for exactly what it is and not because it is your grand father's turn to be in aso rock.

What you are seeing is a government of the people honest enough to give to the people what is meant for them.

May more and more Governors be like that of Borno.

It doesn't stop Bola Tinubu from being a gross failure so he should buckle or simply resign if he lacks the intelligence to rule the nation instead of containing hardship creation it adopted as federal policy.

It is a shame anyone can be defending this failed Bola Tinubu.lef FG.

Technically, the proposed protest is a nullity in Borno with Prof. Zulum’s humane governance.
