The Tinubu lead federal government is actually fueling the proposed protest with their unwise antics.

Tinubu didn't care if boko Haram would hijack the protest he lead against Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 but now afraid this protest will be hijacked by hoodlums, Isis, Taliban, Hamas, Hezbolla and al-qaeda...no be juju be that?
That was 14 years ago and there was no loss of lives and property then. However, we live in a different world today and have witnessed many violent protest worldwide

Endsars protests was hijacked in Nigeria. Therefore, government is jittery for good reasons

cheesy

They extended the deadline three times

It's definitely not about the protest

It's even harder to ask them to extend it this time again after the first three

Victim mentality is shit, we should learn to do away with it
Guy stop talking things you have no fucking idea about. My colleagues in the office all linked their NIN to the number. They were disconnected.

Great News!!!

The opportunity you have been waiting for is here.

Why loose a lot of money in a bid to win big, while you can earn slow and steady?

We are currently on 8-days winning in a row.

All we give is daily 2 or 3 odds.

The testimonies have been coming.

I'm happy with the network blockade. Now those Nigerians sitting on the fence will join the protest.

Mad people everywhere. Simple instructions, they cannot obey, MTN and other networks has been sending information to your sims all these while and you are ignoring them thinking nothing will happen. Now, your number is barred, you are now relating to protest.

Glo barred my sim like 2 months ago, I have to their office to rectify it, but MTN I followed the link sent to me to properly link my sim

They don’t know anything
MTN should restore services before they destroy their infrastructure in billions
You have no business assisting governments to oppress their citizens
Operate above board or leave Nigeria

Hmm. I guessed this was orchestrated. My assumption was correct. Watch our leaders use this as an excuse to claim the one for August will result in nothing but violence.

Stop talking like an illiterate. More than 90% of the people disconnected linked their Sims. I know because I did it for them. They still have their lines in the NIN app linked but we're disconnected.

This shows that the management of MTN with all the fine suites and dresses they wear to work is all rubbish.

Why allow this bar of line towards the period of the protest? This is a sensitive period in the country and if you mess up as a company that will divert their anger at you by bringing down your building

This is the time to act highly professional.

They should ensure that those lines are up and running.Peoples SIM card are their office premises for business and you are baring it for some inconsequential reasons.

Can we ever get anything right in this country?
Perhaps if we had remained under colonial rule a little longer, Nigeria wouldn't be like this.
Angola a Portuguese speaking African country which remained under Portuguese rule for more than four hundred years from 1655 to 1975, still has a stronger economic development index than Nigeria, the so called "giant of Africa".

I am still wondering why Nigeria is still a country because this country has been struggling with mutual suspicion since 1967. If citizens cannot trust their government and every action is perceived political and meanings read into it, I don't see the basis for calling this shithole a country.

As far as I am concerned, this barred SIM issue has nothing to do with the planned protest. I was disconnected yesterday and I had a hard time debating that it had nothing to do with the protest at an MTN office where over 200 people believed it was about the protest.

My argument was simple - if this disconnection was about the protest, why are people being reconnected in less than 24 hours after submitting their NIN biometrics? They should've told us that we had to wait for 10th August (after the protest) for our Sims to start working again. Secondly, Nigerians had been protesting and rioting before we started using GSM.

Abeg it's hard living among people who cannot use their heads and don't even trust themselves/the government.
THE WAY THE PEOPLE REASON IS THE WAY THEIR GOVERNMENT HAS MADE THEM TO BE.

That's all I can say to you.
