Suspected unknown gunmen on Monday evening killed four policemen and a Point of Sale operator on the Ontisha Road area of Owerri, Imo State, Igbere TV has learnt. 

According to Chidiebube Okeoma, the  on- the - run gunmen opened fire where the cops were doing a-stop- and - search duty at AA Rano and Gbobal fuel stations areas of the Road.

According to him, "four cops and a POS operator was confirmed dead in the attack as the non state actors fled.

The spokesman for the police in the state, Henry Okoye had yet to respond to inquiries concerning the incident.

There are about 3 police formation between Coca-Cola junction and Irete first bus stop and there's also Mobile Police base around there. Distance that is not up to 2km, yet they got attacked.

When someone told me that the protest had started in IMO.
I told him that Hope Uzodimma is behind it.It was easy to know because IMO people had not really confronted him all these years.Why will they start a protest before the agreed date.
