No place in your write up was Calabar mentioned as the capital of the Eastern region.

Enugu was the most strategic town in the entire East in colonial era as the most valuable resources of the era, which was coal was being mined in Enugu.
Infact Port Harcourt was only created to link Enugu coal to the Sea for exports.
Without Enugu there wouldn't even be a PH.

Awolowo did more in Ibadan than in LAGOS, the military and missionaries also gave subsidised education not only Awolowo.

Most of the estates in Lagos, including roads eg the ikorodu road,were built by the military.

Mind you there were numerous foreign companies in LAGOS providing jobs,not only awolowos companies.

There were also companies in the East and north providing jobs.

My claim which you haven't refuted here is that,Lagos was not a big trading hub prior to British claim,atleast not bigger than other central and Eastern ports(brass,Calabar( the eastern ports linked up to lokoja,enabling even bigger trade in that axis), Lagos became Lagos under the British and the FG period.

Could you imagine a Nupe or Hausa man go to trade at the King of Dahomey Ports without himself being kidnapped and sold into Slavery himself?
