The Nigeria Government under Bola Tinubu should be grateful.... Here are 10 demands it can easily implement to head off the #EndBadGovernmentInNigeria Protests. #OronsanyeReport & #UwaisReport included.

Good demands! However, one of Nigeria’s major problems in Nigeria is UNEMPLOYMENT! The demand should include FG's adoption of strategies to reduce unemployment under a timeline.

- Jokes.

- You have to be grossly ignorant, simply obtuse or both not to realise that Nigeria is dead and buried, therefore very much irredeemable.

Protests are part of democracy, but let’s be real here. These demands are just a way to distract from the progress being made. Tinubu's administration has already shown commitment to tackling the issues head-on. Instead of shouting in the streets, why not engage in dialogue? Constructive criticism is the way forward. If you believe in a better Nigeria, let’s support our leaders in making it happen, not just list demands like a shopping list.

They should also sanitize the Oil sector.

The fuel crisis plaguing Nigerians is a symptom of a much deeper issue: the chronic lack of transparency in the oil and energy sector. For decades, administration after administration has shrouded this sector in secrecy, running it like a clandestine operation rather than a critical public resource. President Bola Tinubu, who doubles as the petroleum minister, has a unique opportunity to change this, but so far, his actions mirror those of his predecessors.

Tinubu’s administration has continued the same opaque practices that have allowed corruption to flourish. If not for the rampant corruption and the ability to loot and siphon revenues, why would the Nigerian energy sector remain so hidden from public scrutiny? The answer is simple: the lack of transparency benefits those in power, enabling them to exploit the system without accountability.

In other countries, the oil and energy sectors are models of transparency. Regular metrics are released to the public, detailing production levels, revenue, and expenditure. This openness ensures that the sector is managed efficiently and that the public can hold their leaders accountable. For instance, Norway’s petroleum sector publishes detailed reports on a monthly basis, ensuring that every citizen knows exactly what is happening within the industry. This level of transparency could be easily adopted in Nigeria if the will to reform truly existed.

The persistent fuel queues in cities like Abuja and Lagos, the skyrocketing prices, and the prevalence of black market sales are direct consequences of this lack of transparency. Depot owners prioritize their own stations, leaving independent marketers and the public in the lurch. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Ports Authority reports vessels waiting to berth, yet the distribution remains sluggish and inadequate. These issues are not due to logistical challenges alone but are exacerbated by the opaque management of the sector.

President Tinubu and his administration must break from the past and bring true transparency to Nigeria’s oil and energy sector. This means regularly publishing detailed reports on oil production, revenues, and expenditures. By allowing independent audits and making these findings available to the public. It means dismantling the networks of corruption that have long plagued the industry.

Until Nigeria decides to make the oil and gas sector transparent, it will continue to be plagued by upstream, midstream, and downstream problems. The promises of change and hope ring hollow when the same old practices continue behind the scenes. Nigerians deserve better than the secrecy and corruption that have defined their oil sector for too long. It is time for real reform, and it must start with transparency.

Protesters again? It's always the same song. Let's see if these demands are realistic or just another way to distract from the progress being made. Tinubu is focused on development, and that should be the priority.

Any demands that doesn't include discussing with Dangote on the amount he would use to refine the 445000 barrels constitutionally allocated for local consumption is banza. Everything went awry because of the cost of fuel. If this is rein no palliatives would suffice.

Tinubu's government should take these demands seriously. Engaging with the people is crucial for a successful administration. This is the kind of dialogue that can lead to real progress.

Nigerians are expressing their voices, and it's a good sign of democracy in action. President TINUBU will surely take these demands into consideration as he leads the nation towards progress.
