Okay.

In Nigeria, the protest is as a result of bad state actors who are feeling pained that the election conducted didn't bring them to power even when some came distant third position.

There is hunger in the land. Yes it is true, but what have the individuals done about it? did hunger start today? have they gone to farm? they blame the government and i ask, define government. Are the masses not the authority? are they not the ones who sent people to represent them? What have they done to support those they sent to represent them? If they are hungry they should go to farm and not allow themselves to be used with hunger as an excuse or tool to be used by those who lost out of election to cause chaos.

The rot of over 16 years cannot be cured by just 1 and half year of Tinubu in government. Peter Obi had 8 years as governor of a state yet left Anambra as one of the worst state in terms of development and governance.

Those behind the protest are only calling for anarchy and chaos to make this administration unstable.

Even if the protest ends, untill the farmers harvest their crops, there's nothing that can be done about the hunger. Government can not farm to feed the whole nation. Most Nigerians want everything to be given to them freely without them working for it.

Minimum was increased to about N30k Abia state and Benue that i am aware of were still paying workers about N18k till date. But it is the federal government that they want to blame. Even if it is increased to 200k, federal government will pay her own workers but will the state government pay their workers? will the private sector pay? are the protesters protesting against their state government or against Tinubu? The man -Tinubu- has increased minimum wage. Ask your state governors to implement it and lets see.

Traders in the market are increasing prices in the market at will, are they protesting against those traders? but it is Tinubu that is increasing prices.
We need to be wise as a people in this country.
The call for anarchy should be resisted by all means and those supporting it should be brought to book.

For me, i am not protesting because the protest is just a call for anarchy. The government is working round the clock to make sure things work out for good.

Don't allow hatred for a particular ethnic group to cloud your sense of reasoning.

Nigerians are not asking for much. Just the most basic neccitity to survive. And ability to have access to food without stressing too much. Nigerian leaders strives on the proverty of the majority leading to a stricter hold on control over them. Hunger should never be used as a bargaining too because the extent to which persons can go when the only option left is survival is unimaginable.

Bundle of trash!
Even a monkey can reason far better.
A monkey will never near the river bank, seeing a crocodile floating close by.
So it is Obidients that also instigated the protest in the North?
The protests already begun in Niger state.
Is it Igbos that instigated that one too?.
So Igbos and Obidients were also the ones who instigated people across the nineteen Northern states to decide on embarking on the planned nationwide protest?
So Igbos were the ones who instigated the Northern groups to plan on opposition BAT'S second tenure bid?
Were Igbos also the ones who masterminded the removal of Chief Whip of the Senate,Ali Ndume for his opposition to BAT's policies?
Truly animals possess greater sense of reasoning and intellectual ability than many ""Human beings "
Let me put apostrophe there.

Very true..

The president has taken a lot of steps to alleviate the suffering of the masses but those agitating for the protest are arsonists not really interested in the welfare of the masses. These are election losers from the SE who are still bitter that their principal Obi lost the last presidential elections and they are hell bent on destroying Nigeria.

All the demands they are making, the president is responding to each and everyone of them yet the are still going on with the protest. This goes to show that the welfare of the masses was not the reason for the protest from the beginning.

The government had the will to do the right thing but they left things on auto pilot.

They know the major causes of hunger and they have refused to acknowledge that.

I am not in support of any protests but the government needs to listen to the people and give them what they want.

Seems this Goverment does not know it's not about better Goverment. It's all about toppling the government. What they could not do through election, then courts, they want to do it via protest.
Is that based on what Fayemi and APC people did in 2012, a year after Buhari and Bakare lost woefully to Jonathan and Sambo, with riots in the north that killed innocent southerners huh

Omooba77:
A former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday, said the protest that trailed the fuel subsidy removal during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2012 was due to political interests.

Fayemi said this in his keynote address delivered at a national dialogue organised to celebrate the 60th birthday celebration of the founding National Secretary of Alliance for Democracy and Fellow, Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, Professor Udenta Udenta in Abuja.

The programme was attended by Jonathan, former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili; former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, among others.

The PUNCH reports that on January 1, 2012, President Goodluck announced the removal of fuel subsidy and adjusted the pump price of petrol from N65 per litre to N141.

The decision sparked mass protests, tagged ‘Occupy Nigeria’ across major cities of the country.

The price was later re-adjusted to N97, after more than a week of protests.

Petrol price was later reduced to N87 in 2015.

Jonathan faced serious backlash for the fuel price adjustment, especially from leaders of the All Progressives Congress, who were then in different opposition parties, including the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, Congress for Progressives Congress, All Nigeria Peoples Party, and All Progressive Grand Alliance.

While condemning what he described as the “winners take all” style of Nigeria’s democracy, Fayemi said the challenges facing the nation today cannot be solved unless the country embraced proportional representation, where the spoils of elections are shared between contestants.

According to him, the last time Nigeria experienced economic development was during Jonathan’s administration

Fayemi said, “Today, I read former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s interview in The Cable saying our liberal democracy is not working and we need to revisit it, and I agree with him. We must move from the political alternatives. I think we are almost on a dead end of that.

“What we need is alternative politics and my own notion of alternative politics is that you can’t have 35 per cent of the vote and take 100 per cent. It won’t work! We must look at proportional representation so that the party that is said to have won 21 per cent of the votes will have 21 per cent of the government. Adversary politics bring division and enmity.

“All political parties in the country agreed and they even put in their manifesto that subsidy must be removed. We all said subsidy must be removed. But we in ACN at the time, in 2012, we know the truth Sir, but it is all politics.

“That is why we must ensure that everybody is a crucial stakeholder by stopping all these. Let the manifesto of PDP, APC and Labour Party, be put on the table and select all those who will pilot the programme from all parties.”
