Irrespective of what anyone may say to the contrary, I do not believe that recruitment can take place in the NUPRC without a board in place. That's what the act stipulates. That means any recruitment without a properly constituted board would be illegal. Given the controversy which trailed the last recruitment coupled with the crisis of confidence facing Oil industry regulatory bosses, I don't think the Commission Chief Executive would be willing to tread that path.

In the absence of a properly constituted board, the CCE can recruit after getting an approval from the President and waiver from the FCC. Both approvals were gotten sometime ago. Thank you.

Everything is finished apart from office space. That one is in their hands to facilitate it quickly to make it ready .

hmm, i’m sure you know that this current management are trying hard to undo everything emiefele did. alot of workers got sacked, almost all directors.

the question is, do you think they’ll call emiefele and shonubi’s candidates when they have theirs?

I doubt those people will ever be called. I know some people that collected appointment letter and It’s been almost a year and half nothing has come out of it. But some people have resumed work under cardoso. So Many people holding apl from cbn and nothing to show for it. The best thing is to use leg if you have to see if you will be called to resume. But don’t expect to be called along with the rest of the people, it will be a fight for the fittest.
