As the #Endbadgovernance protests begin nationwide, some enraged protesters in Abuja have expressed their frustration with the country’s economic situation.

Despite the court order restraining their activities, the angry demonstrators converged at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in the nation’s capital.

An FCT resident who identified himself as Emmanuel Larry said hunger forced him to come out on Thursday morning.

He insisted that the government must heed their demands, saying contrary to some speculations that the protests won’t hold, the demonstrations will be held from August 1 to August 10.

Today is the hunger day, we all promise you that we are going to be the streets of Abuja. Hunger has brought me out, I don’t have money to buy fuel,” he said.

“I don’t have money to buy whatever, there is total bad governance. The government has used propaganda and fake news to tell you that the protests have been cancelled.

“The protests have not been cancelled, we are on the street. It is for 10 days. If our demands are not being met, we will remain on the streets. Hunger, insecurity, and poor housing have brought me out. A lot of things are going on in this country.”

The most important thing is that they aren't blocking major roads

Others go dey watch them dey pass

When the hot sun is upon them, they should contribute money to buy bags of sachet water... without food, they can still survive today on water

Hunger brought the protesters of NO PROTEST
Same factor is also bringing out END BAD GOVERNANCE.
Educating the uneducated masses is something that should have been put in place first,so everyone can be on the same page that we are fighting the same CAUSE.
Cus this govt is using the uneducated against the educated…pitting everyone against one another,to cause disorder and have a need to use excessive force to tame everyone.

There in Lagos Hunger is keeping them in, Agbado is doing the magic there. I looked at the shoes of some of these policemen here while on mobilization this morning I knew it must be tough having to obey orders with such shoes. I WILL SAY IT AGAIN. This is not the protest that will turn Nigeria around. That one will be an unmatchable, unprepared uprising, that 90% of politicians must collect, past and present. Nigerians have their score card. The senate president has beyond doubt shocked me with his utterances over the past year since he was installed by the thief. No one will escape judgement, TIME is what will do the magic

I don't appreciate how these protesters are forcing market people to lock their shops, telling everyone there's no movement.

Protesters
We protested with our votes in the Presidential election but INEC and judiciary opposed us, now we are not ready to protest again
Re: 'Hunger Brought Me Out,' Protester Storms Street In Abuja by saasala(m):
The problem started when the Youths announced a date for protest. Protests are not announced, they just start springing up from every corner till it starts getting big. They gave the govt too much time to prepare. Now the anti protest protesters are more than the original protesters.
