Cross River residents shun #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest

Despite the ongoing protests across the nation , Cross River State remains unaffected, with residents going about their daily lives as usual.

Sincerely speaking this is long overdue, things are getting hard day by day and it'll only get worst if nothing is done
The government are acting it's no big deal for people to suffer. I'll see if they condone the 10 days total shutdown in the country

To anyone that's against this peace hunger protest just because you're well to do and your children are doing fine abroad, may your world crumble before you.

Cross river is part of eastern Nigeria, so it’s no surprise

Cross River has always been like that. During ENDSARS protest, they started at the tail end of that protest.

Nigerians don’t tire for protest matter again.

The Cross River residents have shown that they know better than to join the noise. Why waste energy on protests when you can channel that same energy into productive activities?

SE: It’s high time we understand that protests don’t always lead to positive change. Instead, they often create more chaos. The same people we’re protesting against will still be in power tomorrow.

SW: Some people just want to gather crowd for social media clout. They forget that while they’re busy shouting, the real issues affecting the common man remain unaddressed. No one wants to listen to empty rhetoric anymore.

And let's not forget, the promises of change during protests often vanish faster than smoke. We need to focus on real solutions instead of jumping on the protest bandwagon.

Kudos to Cross River for not falling for the trap. It’s time to be wise and find better ways to demand

Why are they even surprised? When the same people protesting will turn around and stab their own community in the back. They only come out when it’s convenient for them.

The truth is, many of them just want to make noise without any real commitment to change. Let them stay home; it’s better than causing chaos and destruction that benefits nobody.

Daily Post Nigeria

NewsJournalists, activists, assaulted, detained while covering protest in Cross River. Is the above the 'shut down'?
