Hunger Protest: Shun Violence, Give President Tinubu More Time To See His Renewed Hope Policies Yield Results - Emmanuel Odoemelam

Yes, the economy is harsh and the Government needs to take immediate drastic measures to relieve people of this pain. However, an unguarded protest christened "Days of Rage and Wanton Destruction" will further aggravate our suffering as a people.

I will advise fellow Nigerians to give the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Administration more time to see if the Renewed Hope Policies will yield good fruits, which I strongly believe they'll in the near future.

Whatever that will lead to making people more angry should be avoided.

As you will recall, Federal Government has increased the Minimum Wage from 30,000 to 70,000 and has reduced the time of review from 5 years to 3 years which is fair and commendable.

FG has also promised to provide 100 CNG buses that will help convey people to reduce the pain of the biting hike in transportation.

Tinubu has also ordered the NNPCL to supply crude oil 🛢️ to Dangote's 650 bpd capacity Refinery after they had a little misunderstanding. This shows the APC led administration is sensitive to the cries of the public. Knowing full well the implications of this squabble between NNPCL and Dangote, Tinubu stepped in and put the impending crisis to rest.

Aware that there's high food inflation, the Federal Government has also ordered the distribution of 20 trucks of food grains to all the 36 States and FCT. A truck contains 600 bags. This is massive and the Governors will share it in a non-partisan manner.

"109 senators will also get 2 trucks each and House of Representative members will get one (1) each. This is to help them distribute to their constituents" President of the Senate, Sen. Akpabio revealed.

To help Parents pay school fees, Tinubu administration has also signed into law and it is now an Act, the Student Loan, where Students can now take advantage of it and further their education, make their dreams come througha as they aspire greatness.

To further endear southeast geopolitical zone and bring them closer to the Federal Government to partake in the dividends of democracy and give them a sense of belonging as part of the top strong stakeholders in the Nigerian state, Tinubu has graciously signed into Law the Southeast Development Commission (SEDC). This Commission will oversee the ecological devastation and the 3Rs ( Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reconciliation) of the people of southeast.

In addition, President Tinubu also signed into law the Northwest Development Commission which will arrest the banditry, insecurity and economic quagmire in the geopolitical zone.

These and many more are the immediate measures taken by President Tinubu to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians, which will stem the tide as soon as possible.

I plead with my fellow country men and women, Muslims and Christians alike, to exercise more patience as we all are entitled to our civic right to protest and exercise our inalienable right to vent our dissatisfaction, hoping that things will get better for all of us.

It's easy to point fingers when the going gets tough. Instead of violence, let's support President Tinubu as he navigates these challenges. Rome wasn't built in a day, and change takes time. We need to give him the opportunity to implement his plans and policies. Patience is key!
