But Tinubu kept on insisting we should only eat what we grow. A leader needs to be flexible. Look at tomato, rodo, look at yam sef, Nigerian farmers, market women and men are overpricing their goods.

At a point along the line, I began to think that the protest could have yielded immediate results if it was specifically target at telling the government to open the land border for importation of food items… then other secondary things could be added to the request. This issue of not allowing food to come in is not making any sense at all. It’s gross wickedness that has to be fought by the masses.

You don't need food, how much food or money can be given to a population of over 200 million?
This Great Nation have been feeding themselves for decades through small and big businesses.
Transportation plays a very very important role on the daily productive activities in Nigeria.
Goods are transported through buses , Keke, lorries, Okada etc.
Fuel is almost the blood of these business activities, food is not affordable today not because of Fulani herds men or food shortage but because of the increase in fuel price.
We have crude oil as a natural resource , we should be buying it for as low as 50 naira in this country.
But No, the Greed and selfishness of a small group will not let the poor breath.
They are killing the poor masses, their mental health is detoriating, stress level increased, poor dietary affecting the health of many, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes etc is killing people because of the greed of few.
Mr president You are old and every day that passes brings us closer to the Grave, You have a rare opportunity to write your Name with Gold, if I were you, I will leave a mark.

Until then we can do what we can as individuals ... as in having a little kitchen garden....or that's off the table? We cry about the high price of tomatoes and whatever ... stuff we grow in our own yards but we don't... tomatoes must come from the market ... if the farmers can't supply them we should import ...but we will never think of planting it ourselves for ourselves never mind we have fertile soil. This is why we need such protests ... to force the government to take steps to reduce hunger. If they are serious the first thing they will do is to protect the farmers and check the herders ...keep them in their lanes. Peaceful protest doesn't work ...the violence is the key ... directed at the politicians and their properties ... I cann assure you we will see change .

This should have happened a long time ago. But right now, our neighbouring countries currencies are far performing better than ours, buying from them will still be expensive. It only favour them to buy from us. Naira is damn weak now.
