From December Till Now Each Governor Has Received N570B As Additional Support From FG – Mohammed Idris Minister of Information Mohammed Idris made significant revelations during his appearance on the "Brekete Family Show." His discussion revealed a number of previously hidden details about the distribution of funds across different levels of government in Nigeria. Idris addressed a common misconception about the allocation of funds, clarifying that the money does not belong solely to the federal government. He explained that funds are shared among the federal, state, and local governments. In his comments, he questioned whether the collective funds received by governors and President Bola Tinubu had increased and urged people to consider the money allocated to state and local governments. The Minister challenged the notion that President Tinubu is solely responsible for funding local infrastructure projects. He emphasized that responsibilities such as repairing gutters, schools, and hospitals fall under the purview of state governments. Additionally, he pointed out that the federal government provides supplementary financial support to governors beyond their regular monthly allocations. Idris revealed that since December, governors have received over 570 billion naira in additional support from the federal government. This substantial amount is intended to assist states in managing various projects and responsibilities. The Minister's statements, shared on the official Instagram page of the "Brekete Family Show," have sparked widespread reactions from the public. The revelations have fueled discussions about the allocation and management of government funds. Hear him: "In this our constitution, the money doesn't belong only to the federal government. Federal Government have their shares, State Government have their shares and Local Government also have their own shares. Did the money of all the Governors that came together with President Ahmed Bola Tinubu increase or it did not?. Everybody is saying President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, what of the money that is going to the State and Local Government, why don't you ask questions. To fix gutters, to fix small schools, to fix small hospitals, nah President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu go do that one again?. The State government is responsible for all these things. The Federal Government also supports the Governors with funds aside the monthly payment. From December till now, the Governors have received over 570 billion naira, just additional support". Fellow Nigerians! where is the money?!!!! |

Tinubu doesn't know how to run a country or anything about economics. These and many of such reasons are why the subsidy was put into place. Sending people to give people money Vs people getting the money directly which do you think would be more effective. When Nigerians were crying removing subsidy because some contractors were enriched, a move instigated by Tinubu to incite anger against petrol sector contractors who offered legitimate services, they never knew what the implications of their actions were. Some of us cried and cried that the removal of the subsidy wasn't the way to go about ensuring sustainability but rather regularizing the processes to weed out corrupt entities. Una nor hear word. Tinubu has been an hatred monger, instigating people to hate themselves. Thanks to Tinubu, ideologies like Yoruba Christians, Yoruba Muslims came to the burner. Shia Muslims, Sunni Muslims, because he taught and trained the younger generation to have deep hatred for one another to achieve his selfish ambitions. Tinubu went to Kwara and told Kwarans they were miserable because of Saraki meaning his removal would better their lives. This same people have not improved a single bit. He did the same against PDP, from 2012 using ethnic differences as a tool to achieve his inordinate ambitions.. But reality speaks for itself. Nigerians are reuniting in realizing Tinubu s economic policies are one that would lead generations into the abyss. How can one remove petroleum subsidy, jerk up electric tariff subsidy, float the currency against major foreign currencies, raise customs tarrifs at the same time. How na ? This same Nigeria even in its lack of funds will be better managed if the macro economic stance were handled differently. Now last week Tinubu and his cronies in the House of Reps are vying to increase the government ability to take up loans by 100%, a move instigated so they can continue to acquire loans and loans and loans morgaing the entire livelihood and future wealth of many generations. Yet some people would rather not listen like they did in 2012,2015 to rather pursue ethnocentric ideologies over sound reasoning. When would Nigeria learn ? Shall it be u til when they are struck on the heads with metal rods ? |

If this balablue cattle has been using all these monies to make subsidy payment, we would be in a better position. But he rather prefers to give state governors to embezzle and buy trucks of rice that disappear into thin air |

The more reason Tinubu is a certificate forger.. Every single Nigerian benefited from fuel subsidy, a removal he kicked against in 2012. Now, he comes, Removes fuel subsidy and gives the money to governors. I no understand , is that not madness? What did he want the governors to do with the money if not to loot ? Even in civilized and advanced countries, there are a lot of government subsidies. This is done to at least make the citizens not to be idle when they can’t afford basic things. An idle man is the devils workshop. Keep subsidy, fish out the corrupt contractors making the system not to work. Enact laws on fuel subsidy, and anyone caught in subsidy scam should have a death sentence. Wetin hard for here ? They don’t just want Nigeria to work…. |

This is a commendable move by the FG. It's about time the governors are supported in their efforts to develop their states. With this kind of financial backing, we can expect to see some real progress and improvements in infrastructure and services. Let's hope they use the funds wisely for the benefit of the people! |

Tinibu is the most clueless and wicked president I have ever seen. I have never seen someone as terrible as him Dear world worst president, return fuel subsidy and open up borders let food flow in since you can't secure farmers. Olodo of the highest order. |

That's why every idiot wailing should go hold the governors in their region. The governors are not elected to act as Barbie doing nothing for their region. So go and hold your own leaders in your own region📌 Personally, I don't see why a governor can't invest in large scale mechanised farming. They've got the resources, and mechanical machineries to make things easier. If a governor isn't embarking on basic thing such as large scale mechanised farming combined with agro industry and animal husbandry, I don't see the reason why he should be there in the first place. |

That's a significant boost for the states. Good move by the FG to provide that level of support. |
