BeardedMeat:Mention any activist that fought the government more than the likes of late Tai Solarin, Late Gani Fawehinmi, Baba Omojuwa, Beko Ransome Kuti and co? How many youth activists are currently in detention presently? You mean this yahoo generation |

Cindypresh:apc miscreants didn't find the letter written in 1983 when tinubu led a protest against goodluck jonathan. The agbado rodents will never take responsibility for their failure, they always find a way to shift blame from themselves |

Nigeria has never been great, na the potential dem been dey call great. The worst aspect is that, Nigeria of then was better than Nigeria of now, and Nigeria of then was still not a power house, or doing anything special. That useless Nigeria those days, that the coup plotters used as excuse, is even worse than the Nigeria of today; only that now, there is internet and cell phones. |

The country needs a major reset but we are not ready to face it. Subsidy was removed, govt is facing maintenance of refineries, they even committed to November, govt resolved the issues with crude supply to local refineries. Govt is trying to boost production and remove a major import dependency item....this has led to serious hardship but rather than engage constructively like someone who sees and understands the end goal, we are here demanding that subsidy be returned that govt should continue to borrow to block a useless hole. Currency was being defended with borrowed funds, some of the fund was even collaterised by future crude sales....govt decided to float it and block another corrupt hole ....that led to initial hardship but rather than engage constructively and genuinely....we are out here on the street destroying properties and asking govt to return things to the old ways that has bled us dry and made us paupers in a rich country.... Nothing good comes easy and stopping decade long bad practises will definitely come with short term pain....are we ready to endure as a nation? |

easzypeaszy:That was Solarin quote to his students... He believed navigating obstacles on our path makes us better humans... I remember protesting as a pry 4 pupil in 1993 for being served what was called Bambara beans (instead of moi moi) and indian Pap ..on a Saturday morning..we all refused to dine and matched to his residence "usual we no go gree" ![]() Baba calmed us with a detailed explanation of a lapse in logistics causing d change in menu.. Promised us more rice on Sunday to show how sorry he was ( we only eat rice on Sundays then).. I feel sorry for my children who eat rice almost daily ![]() We accepted d deal... My Boarding fee and tuition then stood at N2000 plus ..today that would amount to close to N500k a term or more.. From a N20 increase in Boarding fee in 1983 to what I paid (2k plus ) in 1994 ...I believe Audu Ogbeh when he said Naira was devalued on a weekly basis from 1980.. can we ever get it right? |

Slimvincent:My dad will vehemently disagree with you 200 is good deal when minimum wage is barely 100 naira a month ? Nigeria was never good, there is no time people are claiming Nigeria is better than it was in the past |

DTaj:Are you guys okay? So because there was never a time things were cheap we should continue like that and besides I could recall the economy was not like this during yardua and Jonathan's regime until the same APC got to power and destroy everything |

easzypeaszy:That was the only single prayer DR. TAI SOLARIN PRAYED FOR HIMSELF ONCE A YEAR. He was an agnostic ( he doesn't and can't tell whether God existed or not). So he prayed, God let my road be rough this year. When it is rough, then the best in me comes out. Chief Obafemi Awolowo always called "The Hard Way", the best way to real manhood. |

easzypeaszy:" May Your Road Be Rough" It's the Title of a famous article he wrote on January 1st , i think in 1964. It's prayer of success. Pain is needed for success. In other words, don't wish it was easy, wish it was hard. The hardness and roughness makes success possible. |

AdeCityzen:But the words of Olukoya the evil one , or Pa Adeboye the tithe gatekeeper or Oyaki... Wooo... you have all said you will die , not examining your chains. Wish you religionists best of luck in your "kingdom". As for me, after my passing, let me appear before Olodumare, and declare all I did on earth. That's enough for me. |

Softmirror:You youngings...need to go back to the archives. Babangida, the evil Genius, appointed Dr. Solarin as head of ppls' bank, but wait...what about the board of directors and others? They were handpicked by Babangida, as sleeper agents, to make sure the bank failed ( the original plan). Ppl forget that Babangida conducted elections and pretended he was going to handover to democrats, but then took the title " President Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida" not "General" again. He was sending a message... All I'm saying is Babangida BELIEVED in the MACHIAVELLIAN APPROACH to life: make you assume he's going one way, but he's planning for you to fall in the pit. For the records, Dr. Solarin resigned his position as President of the Peoples Bank: he was disgusted with what he was seeing. |

DTaj: We need an ELITE CONSENSUS, where those in government and the elites (big-men businessmen, the intelligentsia, enlightened, etc) would sit down and agree: WE WANT OUR COUNTRY TO MAKE PROGRESS, ENOUGH OF INDIVIDUAL GREEDSorry sir, at the level we are now, it seems it's too late. Only a genocide ( totally useless and unnecessary) will or may (or might not) even reset this contraption . I think it's over. Too much innocent black ppls blood wasted . Only "judgement" remains. |

PandoraObi:What are you implying? Hardship didn't start today? Oniyẹ̀yẹ́. Did you check the year? 1983. That was when your failure ex-general Buhari was in power, a man known to be a badluck and a catastrophe to what is good. This same hardship continue when he took the baton via rigging from Jonathan in 2015 and that same hardship skyrocketed during Thiefnoobu-led fraudulent "grab it-steal it-run away with it" cabalistical government. Continue fooling the gullible with your propaganda. We know your game. APC time is up in Nigeria.
