Is that all he had to say. What a coward! I thought he was going to be bold and courageous and assess the failure of this government rather telling us how protest should be done and the rest of the gibberish he wrote their to deceive himself into believing he criticized Tinubu. Soyimka must really think he is smart! Coward!

That's his opinion on Jonathan. So he doesn't have a right to his opinion? Abeg rest...

Soyinka's critique is noted, but we must also recognize that governance is a complex task. President Tinubu is navigating a challenging landscape. Let's give him time to implement reforms and address the issues raised. Constructive criticism is vital, but we must also support our leaders in finding solutions.
For someone who used to blab now and then in front of National Television. The baba is too old and frail to steer this ship called NIGERIA. After licking the microphone, he will painstakingly read out the script written for him and the masses will continue to protest

One way or the other tinubu’s vicious cycle must be broken.

can you show me where Soyinka constructively criticised tinubus address?

can you show me the tribal/political sentiment that you say is beclouding my sense of reasoning?

you failed to answer the question? do you have any idea why I asked the question?

when he was castigating jonathan, why didnt he think of the economic impact of his criticism?
Just tell me that you don't understand the content of this post, please read the post carefully again. Because the post itself highlighted how Tinubu speech was empty and condemned PBAT gov lack of proactive steps to end the hunger protest. Please read again and carefully this time

Is that all
How about giving assessment of tinubu's woeful performance so far.
Jonathan wasn't this bad before he and his colleagues marched on protest.
Did Soyinka or anyone else protest during one year and three months of Jonathan's Government even though Nigerians were also complaining of hardship then? Before you start telling me things were better then please remember that each year since the 70s things seems to be getting worse. The price of a bag of Rice sold for #7,500 during Jonathan administration could buy Two brand new cars in the 80's.

Tell Tinubu what he needs to hear to change, in a direct language.

If na GEJ, you grammar go de simple and direct.

This statement although sunnict has come at a very delicate time in Nigeria's reform transition period.

Prof. Wole Soyinka has thrown PBAT under the bus with this statement and it may further embolden opposition elements to run this current regime down faster.

There is anarchy already in the North and Baba Soyinka has proverbially "poured petrol on fire".

I see this protest extending for more days.

Prof. has direct access to Tinubu and could have resolved or aired his issues personally and not publicly.

This timing is absolutely wrong for Prof. Wole Soyinka to pronounce such a public statement.

The old man has not said anything. As usual He is finding it difficult to criticize his brother. Only shifting blame to how the security personnel reacted to the protesters. He said nothing about the useless suffering the old drug lord have inflicted on Nigerians .

For those that have ears, come closer. Bullet is going to rain on protesters as from Monday. This government has no positives plan for Nigerians.
Know what to do from this minute.

Soyinka didn't do anything to Tinubu. He only criticized police tear gas and rabble about nothing. We need Soyinka to summon the same courage he put up during GEJ government. This senile old man can't fool us

wow...thats interesting but when he was castigating jonathan, why didnt he think of the economic impact of his criticism?
Castigation of Jonathan which you have been carrying on your head like gala accounted for why I replied you. Soyinka has been an activist for so long. He supports and criticises leaders at will. If Soyinka Wole Soyinka, Mr. Femi Fanala, and Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly can lead mass protest to the National assembly in Abuja all the way from South West demanding for the immediate recognition of Goodluck Jonathan as acting president, then who is he that he cannot be criticised?

This is how activists operate and not blindly supporting a government just because of the affliation from the onset.

This man is a TRIBALIST. I dont take his words serious ok..
You are blinded by tribal prejudice. On the contrary check your history properly.
Soyinka played a significant role as a peace mediator and advocate for a peaceful resolution to the Biafran conflict. He fought to bring the world's attention to the humanitarian crisis (the horrors) caused by the war. At a point he was rumoured to have arbitrate mercenaries to fight for Biafra.

But you..you just know how to express the hatered that you are used to on anyone not from the East. You don't know much.

You mean the same courage Prof. Wole Soyinka, Mr. Femi Fanala, and Pastor Tunde Bakare summoned when they led a mass protest against the prolonged absence of President Umaru Yar’Adua to the National Assembly in Abuja demanding for the immediate confirmation of Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan as President? Was he not a senile then?

Where was David Mark, Orubebe and their likes then who are GEJ's kinmen then? Sometimes, we just need to stop reasoning through anus.
