When Did Nigeria Legalised Capital Punishment Upon Looters ? by Moyoree(op): 8:24pm On Aug 04, 2024
Obviosly every one has witnessed the killing of protesters by the nigerian securities, during the few days of the ongoing end bad governance protest.
The question i want to ask now is that : when did Nigeria legalised capital punishment upon looters ?
Yes; the security personnel make claims that those that were killed during the protest are looters and public and private properties vandalisers, yes we agreed that some hoodlums have hijacked the peaceful protest by involving in looting and vandalising of public and private properties, but did what they have committed deserved capital punishment ? If yes, then why the big looters among formers and present govt officials no one was sentenced to dead nor any of them was even imprisoned ? Infact there are even alot of people with corruption alegation that were appointed in various govt ministries. In conclusion the recent killing of protesters is undemocratic, unconstitutional and we highly condemned it.

Stop talking nonsense. So those who went out for the protest didn't know they are going to face Nigeria police which some of them are also going through hardship?

Next time, people would start using their common sense because we warned them earlier enough

The Nigerian police have made attempts at denying several of the killings in one video.

People need to try to post the names of the dead(their profile if possible) and the approximate location where they were killed. The Nigerian police are trying already to sweep the killings of Nigerians under the rug. 🤐🤐🤐

Police have no legal right to shoot at looters or thieves. That's extrajudicial killing.

They can only shoot if their lives or lives of other citizens are being thereatend, like if the looter is armed with a gun or other deadly weapon.

Helinues today confirmed 2 things:

1. The NPF is a criminal institution.

2. There's hunger and hardship in Nigeria.

There's protest going on right now with massive looting (though I strongly condemn that madness) but till now, I haven't read anywhere that a protester/rioter has been shot dead.

This also confirm that, Nigeria needs serious spiritual cleansing.

Add also that some people have refused to take responsibility for their own lives hence blaming government for their woes

I know people who have been doing so well before your darling daddy took over but today, their businesses struggle to survive. Even Dangote sef dey complain. Many companies already closed down and exited the "one time" giant of Africa. Now tell me, these examples should also blame themselves and not the government?

Life is unfair to everyone, we just have to find a way of dealing with it without putting unnecessary aggression on others

This show that there are two different types of justices.
1- If you loot a shop the police give you immediate Capital Punishment
2- If you loot public funds as a politician, don't worry you will be worshipped everywhere
