22million Nigerians Voted For Subsidy Removal. by Throwback(op): 7:06am On Aug 05, 2024
22million Nigerians voted for Tinubu, Atiku or Obi.

They all promised, to continue with the plan of the outgoing Buhari administration to remove subsidy, which Buhari budgeted for in 2023 only till the end of June.

Peter Obi went a step further to insist he will remove it on the 1st day. Unfortunately for him, it was Tinubu that won the mandate of the people as recently confessed by Peter Obi the defeated opponent who instead finished in 3rd place behind Atiku who is also know as Siddiq only in 1965 when he passed his WAEC, but affidavit signed in 1973 as defended by Dele na my boy.

Tinubu was sworn into power on 29th May, 2023, and as part of his call to forge a national government for all Nigerians, decided to honour Peter Obi whom he defeated by removing subsidy on the 1st day and 1st executive decision.

On the other hand, we had a candidate of the AAC named Omoyele Sowore, who as a lonely voice calling out in the wilderness, vowed not to remove oil subsidy.

14,000 Nigerians voted for Sowore.

Yet the people who gave their mandate to Tinubu do not want him to fulfill his promise of subsidy removal.

Does it mean 22million Nigerians are stupid, and only 14,000 have sense?

Elections have consequences.

Subsidy removal is not really the issue.

The most important thing is the measures you put in place to counter the effect of Subsidy Removal, so that the effect of that removal will not result in hyper inflation.

Tinubu is totally clueless on these counter measures. That's where the problem is.

There is even confusion as per whether subsidy is still in place, so what Nigerians actually want is for Tinubu to return Fuel price to where he met it.
Re: 22million Nigerians Voted For Subsidy Removal. by Ttalk:
Removing fuel subsidies is not the issue but the management and consequence of subsidy removal.

What effort was made to channel the gain of the subsidy directly to the masses other than giving it to the emperor governors who are not accountable because of the useless immunity clause?

What happened to creating a Subsidy Trust Fund that would be channeled to address critical sectors like agriculture? That would have reduced the bashing Tinubu receives today as Nigerians would have been justified to channel their grievances toward the governor who would contend such a policy.

Abacha established PTF and Obasanjo established ECA and some gains were made despite the strong iobjection from the governor

Did tinubu fulfill his subsidy removal promises??
He only did that to enrich himself by paying subsidy to himself.
By the way. Tinubu has not removed fuel subsidy.

they will not read this your valid points because they are only assembled on various WhatsApp groups and fed with useless topics to use in polluting the Internet space like people who have never been taight abcd in their lives before .

That day he announced the removal of fuel subsidy was a declaration for partying and merriment by him and his corrupt friends.
Time to share and embezzle resources while they secretly continue to pay a paltry sum of the removed subsidy and share among them the larger part of subsidy removed.
Re: 22million Nigerians Voted For Subsidy Removal. by Ttalk:
The greatest mistake is giving the governors the proceed of the subsidy without strong control and check. Imagine Governor like Yahya Bello laying his hand on such huge money and see how he would have squandered it

What measures are you going to put in place ?
Where will you get money to put these measures In place without the removal of fuel subsidy?

The only option is to borrow , and when you do your likes will still complain that the president is mortgaging the future of the unborn generations just like you said about Buhari.

Anyone that voted for Tinubu , obi , Atiku or Kwankaso that got back on streets to protest against the negative effect of subsidy remover are fools .

I always tell them that these 4 so called popular candidates don't have a clear cut plans in place to move the country forward.

They all intend to operate with almost the same template.

Agbado babablu statistics.

Buhari said there is nothing like subsidy, that it doesn't exist. But he went into office and continued to pay subsidy.

No amount of propaganda will cover the failure of Tinubu. Tinubu is a disaster.

Tinubu promised to deal with terrorism, banditry, etc but terrorists are doing promo up and down. Why can't Tinubu implement that one too? Abi other candidates did not promise to fight insecurity?

Buhari did not even agree he was paying subsidy. For 7 years nnpc called it under recovery. Maybe tinubu will invent a name for his own subsidy payment

Obi and Atiku set tinubu up

Even if obi or Atiku won and removed fuel subsidy if things were hard as it is now the masses will still protest.
