Personally I can't understand the rationale behind his "orientation" whether social or sexual. However, I also am of the opinion that he was unfairly treated and I wish him all the best.

I just remembered the guy this morning as I was pondering on the nationwide protests and the glaring cases of injustice all over Nigeria. As far as I am concerned, there was never a genuine reason why he should be in jail in the first place.

Obasanjo, Ojukwu, Abiola, Mandela, Dokpesi amongst others are ex convicts.
Some Judges mentioned it and quoted the Law that a first time offender that pleads guilty will only pay a fine of N50k, finish! He was correct to plead guilty and pay only N50k, finish! But the Law was bended. Live and let's live! How many Politicians have been sentenced in this Country?
Mind you, anything can take anybody to prison, it might be just fighting and the person collapse. It might even be just an intimidation.
