You are very correct @djon78. It's been a recurring decimal. That's what some of those politicians do. The Northern borders also have over 1000 porous points that these guys from Mali, Niger Republic, Cameroon and Chad pass through according to the Nigerian Immigration folks.

Based on newspaper articles I read here on NL sometime in the 2010s, some of these illegal immigrants from Niger Republic and Cameroon who were rounded up in Lagos State were bragging to the hearing of immigration officers that they would easily find there way back into Nigeria because of the many illegal routes into Nigeria.

So, modern technologies would have to be deployed to track those porous areas and people from the North should learn to report strange faces because it's these guys that have caused a lot of insecurities in the North of Nigeria from Maitatsine who was a Cameroonian and others in the BH group. It's very critical to control "illegal" immigration because ultimately, it would backfire on any country on earth.

But then, heck, even the United States still battles with illegal immigration through the borders and Trump even vowed to build a border wall which he didn't fulfil till he left.

Let's learn to use our common sense when reacting just because you are having insects infestation doesn't warrant shooting an AK47 riffle... what are They calling Russia For? Was it Russia that put tinubu in aso Rock? Are they expecting Russia to send food or crash the price of food? Or They are inviting them to invade a sovereign state? THINK AND REACT IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
