Mariangeles:Ghanian dishes are generally good. I remember one Ghanaian lady that lived with us some years back, she prepares a dish called kenke ( don't know if I got the name right) that looks like this one you posted. That dish is usually eaten with grounded corn that is molded and then baked. Mehn the gravy has a lot of pepper in it. |

brain54:Dude don't eat that stuff again. It seems u might be allergic to the cocoyam leaves or something before u die of a reaction or anaphylactic shock. Your body gave u signs but u still went ahead. Edit: Just read up on it and saw they tend to each when not prepared properly, so no allergic reaction here. |

When I was in Ghana we eat this with Kenkey or banku. Here in Naija I will go with yam or plantain |

I will admire it very well, snap sweet pictures of it...! When I'm done... I will safely observe others eat it. I like adventure, but I don't experiment with my stomach. ![]() |

It tastes great. Taste better than many Nigerian meals. My favorite ghana meal is wakkye, God bless the people that discovered that food. |

brain54:Dokunu,koko and wanshe were food I enjoyed eating here before I started visiting Ghana. It was in Ghana I got to know dokunu goes well with okro. And anytime I planned to eat at the roadside I had to come along with barbecue fish, the sight of those fingerlings abi kidnapped underage fishes displayed by dokunu sellers don't look appealing to me I can not eat their rice because it is half done. Ghana used to be a delightful place to be |

Hehe. It's mostly semi-raw peppers, to make a semi-raw gravy. They would normally take this with 'Kenke' or Banku. And they sure Love this with roasted Tilapia fish. Ghanaians sure do know their fish. They'd tell You exactly the type of fish they are eating. They also sell a tiny specie of fish, really tiny, I think it's called 'One man million'. Some other Ghanian foods are Coconte, fufu, Waakye(pronounced wache). Soups are Palm nut soup, Groundnut soup(not very nice), Lite soup(fiery and nice, like peppersoup) and normal Okro soup. Nyame shraö |
