USA does not need to travel miles to equip isreal but can easily use their bases around the region to make deliveries unlike who only trying to plant bases.

Sadly the Iranians may be overestimating their military capacity. They are forgetting that their intention to become a nuclear armed country will go up in flames, as the Israelis have vowed to terminate that plan. The Iranians assumed that the 10 months old war against Hamas has weakened the Israeli military. They may be incorrect, with the contribution of the Americans and some NATO members.

The only reason that Iranians arm such group is the fact that those groups are at close proximity with Israel, guaranteeing them easier and quicker route to attack. A new war between Israel and the whole lot of them would see a reduction in their power.

Are we sure that under existential threat, the Israelis will not resort to nuclear weapons? It is a closely guarded secret and those sorrounding nations pretend that they are non existent. With the avowed intention of axis of resistance to see the end of Israel, would the Israelis, whose leaders have entered into their nuclear bunkers now, sit by and watch?

Our hope is that peaceful settlement can be achieved by all parties. Iran must exercise restraint, otherwise that country would be up in ruins very soon.

Because of Russia closeness to Iran, the reverse of your conclusion is the case.

It is easier to airborne these equipment and send them over, many of them are already in strategic US military bases close to Israel in Europe, some are on the sea, etc so deliveries is not a problem.

Russia closeness to Iran will make them to be more cautious and invest more resources and strategic positioning in defending their territory to prevent the escalation from spillage.

Russia can not afford two full scale simultaneous wars at the same time. With their recent romance with NK, I doubt if China would be fully committed to helping in terms of war especially when US is at the other end.

I think this news about Russia helping Iran is more political than security and it is done to merely put a farce on Russia support to silence those in Iran elite who might start criticizing Russia and going against her pally with Iran given the fact that Iran have been helping Russia with weapons in Ukraine and a reciprocal is expected.
