I refuse your assertion. The future looks great. There is no reform without pain. Someone had promised that he would change Nigeria from a consumption to a production nation. Did that person understand what pain that is in it.

The president had option.....take the easy route out and become popular and Nigeria gets worse on the long run. Take the hard way out and become unpopular for now but lay a foundation that Nigeria will forever be grateful. This was his Lagos option and today everyone is singing praises about Lagos.

Only tough leaders can do what he is doing. He is aware that he is endangering his political career as he's presently unpopular. The informed and neutrals can understand him.

Do you know what it means to pay $5billion Dollars inherited debt within one year? The airlines that packed up because of debt are back.

It's not a joke to reduce your usage of 97% of your revenue to service your debt to using about 65% of your revenue. All within one year. The honest state governors are paying salaries regularly and executing projects. Where is the money coming from?

Reverse subsidy removed and every budget - federal, state and local government will collapse.
Tinubu has absolutely no economic plan to save Nigeria. The current economic woes that look to get progressively worse have clearly shown it.

Look, it is OK for you to hold your opinion that is certainly driven by extraneous factors but facts are sacred.

These Catholic bishops are jokers and devil’s advocate. You expect a change to occur in roughly a year when the damage has been done over 25-years.

Sense and sensibility is not common to these people from the land of the rising wailers.

Ah, the Catholic Bishops have spoken! It’s interesting how the same people who praised Peter Obi’s empty promises now have the audacity to question the FG’s reforms. Maybe they expected miracles overnight? Reform is a journey, not a magic trick.
Who are you senseless people

Worse you mean...

Every president who have ruled this country had their best ever year in their first year of rule.
If this is Tinubu's first year as rotten as this, then imagine what the next 3 years will be. No president has made naira lose value over 100% in his first year. Tinubu broke that record. Now you 100k of today is same as 30k of the worst Buhari regime which ended last year.

Its not looking good.

The Bishops have valid concerns, but let's not forget the efforts FG is making to stabilize the economy. Change takes time, and collaboration is key. We must support the government while holding them accountable for progress.
Oju to ma ba ni kale kin wapin la ro. Tinubu's policies is antipeople. Policies that is dipping people into more poverty can never give viable result, just take that to bank and cash any amount of cash.
You know how many companies that have folded up because of his policies?
You know how many people have lost their jobs?
You know how many people the policies have dipped into excruciating poverty and hunger?
You know how many people that have died because of his policies?
You know how many companies the policies have shielded from coming to the country?
Many ache his policies have caused.
Now, to turn things around, you need to invest heavily to bring back those lost grounds and if care is not taking, more people will join the line because as at today the rich also are crying.
Tinubu's policies is antipeople and until he holistically seat down at review them, there is no end in sight.
A bag of beans that was ₦35,000 last year, is now ₦220,000 this year.
Someone posted here a ten tubers of yam he bought ₦15,000 in Ekiti. Last year that ten tubers of yam can be gotten in the same Ekiti not more than ₦5,000 at most. I remember, few years ago and I got such size of yam tubers, 120 in number ₦15,000-₦20,000 at Alapa in Kwara State. I want someone from Kwara that knows Alapa to counter me if I am telling lie.
Let's just forget this Tinubu's government. I has become a mistake to be corrected or let me just say APC as a party, their policies are antipeople and anti nation growth.

In Yoruba land, they say, oju to ma ba ni kale, kin wapin la ro. I don't think anybody expect a miracle but at least a path to greener pasture that the policy will be driving people to. Policies that will yield fruits would not continue to dip people into more poverty and hunger. Such policy suppose to begin lifting people from poverty and hunger and not dipping them further.
Please how did you know that Peter Obi gave empty promises, when the same promises had not been implemented? But we've seen Tinubu's promises implemented and how they have fair in the life of the citizens. How his promises have increased hunger and starvation in the land.

Thankfully, you have agreed that APC as a party 8 years of reign was a total failure by this your submission.
Now, please can you show me any country all over the world where a policy that suppose to soften or lift people gradually out of their predicaments but instead dipping them further into it. The policies that are even making the rich to cry. The policies that have folded many companies. The policies that have increased the purchasing power of the citizen and making many citizens beggars in their own country. The policies that had laid off many workers. The policies that made a rice that you're buying ₦25,000 become ₦78,000 or the policies that made beans bought ₦35,000 become ₦220,000. Is it the same policies you people are having hope in or the other one that we patriotic Nigerians never known. I just pity some of you that cannot apply just common sense.

but we heard the same thing under buhari that the future looks great. we have arrived in the future. why is it not great?

where is it in the constitution that "There is no reform without pain"?

which reform are you talking about?

is tinubu, shettima, akpabio, members of the national assembly, governors and their families experiencing the pain?

the person who you say promised production to consumption, is he in power?

focus on the person that is in power and tell us how he has used the office of president to make nigeria. so far, how has nigeria become better since 29 May, 2023?

what is the difficult route that tinubu has taken that has made him unpopular?

which foundation is tinubu laying? did buhari not lay the foundation?

what was buhari doing for 8years if it is foundation that tinubu is now laying?

what exactly did tinubu do in lagos that u say everyone is singing his praises?

who are the "everyone"?

what has tinubu done that you say ony tough leaders can do?

did he reduce his cabinet?

did he say no to N21billion renovation of VPs residence and N5billion for dodan barracks?

did he stop going to france for medical check up?

did he stop accepting allowances for feeding, transportation, clothing, accommodation, travelling etc?

who inherited 5billion debt in one year?

what has airlines got to do with the discussion?

who reduced the usage of 97% of revenue to service debt to using 65% of revenue?

who are the honest state governors and who are the dishonest ones?

is money the problem of the states?

how will the federal, states and local governments collapse because of subsidy?

why have they not collapsed as a result of borrowed loans with nothing to show?

why have they not collapsed as a result of continuous unabated corruption, profligacy and large cabinets and endless list of special advisers?
You know the problem of many of them, they don't apply common sense whenever they are making comment. He claimed Tinubu is making tough decision but same man made a tough decision by buying rims worth ₦3.7b. Built new VP's house at the cost of ₦30b. Renovated National Assembly at the cost of ₦15b and bought SUVs for the legislootors at the cost of #160m each. Travel to Ethiopia for just one week and expended ₦1b. Expended over ₦90b for Hajj operation. Has the highest cabinet in the history of governance in Nigeria. And so many frivolous spending he has made within his one year reign. Same man that has 6 airplanes and 4.jets in his fleet but because of just one faulty one, he went to buy a new one added to the existing ones and one demented human being will say, he is making a tough decision. May be that tough decision is to kill the country with his frivolous spending I don't just know.
The hype they are even giving him on the progress of Lagos is what I don't know. When you ask them what he did during his tenure in Lagos, the best they will tell you is that he laid the foundation for a new Lagos. Then, ask them, where is the template he used to lay the foundation of new Lagos, they get mute.
They forgot that Lagos has never been a poor state from time memorial. It has been a wealthy and economy buoyant state from inception and when you put the worst governor that had ever ruled any state to administer Lagos, he will look like superstar. Aregbesola was one of his superstar commissioner in Lagos. What was his impact in Osun?
Fowler was one of his best hand in Lagos in term of tax collection but was given FIRS to manage but he fumbled and was sacked from his post.
I don't know why some people will be comparing Lagos peculiarity to any other state of the federation.

Catholic Bishops of Owerri archdiocese?
Let every Bishop mind his Diocese.
For five years, these Bishops kept quiet while Orlu was pummelled by sponsored terrorists.
