Many of una know shin shin about economics, una just expect magic button wey go solve all problems. How much fuel is consumed monthly by Nigerians, now compare it to the maximum capacity of Dangote's refinery, you'll see that it would take at least 3 of such refineries to achieve the things you've listed above assuming they function at full capacity.
In Nigeria, we consume 44 Million litres per day, Dangote's refinery at full capacity will output 55 Million litres per day.
So, what exactly would we need 2 additional refineries for? Except you want to come from the angle of excess supply to lower demand curve, thus leading to a downward price chart .

Are you one of those enemies?
Check the construction dates for each of the 10 refineries. You'll see that Dangote's refinery is the most recent. The Dangote refinery has been completed and, based on capacity calculations, it is considered one of the largest. It is currently dealing with some minor logistics issues that are expected to be resolved soon. Those who doubt its success will soon be proven wrong.
Enemy for asking question?
Abeg commot for road.
If it is working why are we still importing fuel?

Is that why Tinubu wants to collect it back from him and why did you sideline Emefiele and Niger Deltans who provided the needed FX at subsidized rate to Dangote?

I think if there is any region to thank it should be the Niger Deltans and partly the north because of Buhari, even the land from the southwest was paid with 100 million dollars by FX provided from the Niger Delta by the CBN...

So what exactly did the south west contribute without financial gains involved?
So southwest do not supply oil to the refinery right?

Just sooo surprising how the hope built around Dangote Refinery faded away.

Nigerian believed the coming on board of the refinery would stop fuel queues, strengthen the Naira, create employment and promote industrialization. These never happen, at least as of now
Answer is CABAL!

So you believe a refinery is supposed to work at 100% capacity and that a country like 9ja would use it all just to service Nigerians? Una funny on this site o grin grin grin

PHAYOL81:
I doubt Nigeria consume anything around 60 million litres per day. The number is between 30/33 million litres which is well short of the 53million litres dangote refinery would produce (of PMS). A monthly consumption rate or better put, our regular monthly importation of PMS data stands at an average of 1billion litres. So with the refinery configure to produce 53million litres everyday, it should be able to produce close to 1.6million litres monthly which covers our need and still leaves around 500million litres for FX generation. Remember, a chunk of the number we import (in PMS)are smuggled out through our leaking borders.
Besides, Dangote refinery ain't alone in the business in the country. We have many modular plants to help out and hopefully, some ongoing construction to help too even if we have to accept the national refineries are doomed never to function.
And to further correct another misinformation, Dangote refinery is 650k bpd capacity, not 600k.
Stop using Google AI and do actual research, bfore you shout misinformation, go back and read what I wrote, AS OF 2023, the daily consumption was over 60 million. Moving on, even if Dangote's refinery could work at full capacity for the whole year, it still would prefer to sell its product to international clients than Nigeria. Remember this is not a public/government owned refinery.

Lastly, let's even assume you're right and that single refinery along with the local options could cater to both Nigerians and international clients, WHY IS THE GOVERNMENT STILL SPENDING 1 BILLION MONTHLY ON PMS IMPORT? Either your data is incorrect or the government sabi pass you. Either way do more research man, you clearly don't understand the difference between capacity and actual output!

That is why the cabals that are benefitting from oil importation don't want Dangote Refinery to work. Because he's seriously going to be an encumbrance to their nefarious activities.

I heard even you put some 5african country 2geda, they would struggle to build this kind Dangote refinery.

My question always is, why are they frustrating the refinery from? We dey produce crude oil dey sale outside and Dangote dey go outside dey buy crude oil. Wetin dey really happen?
Dangote don't want to buy Nigerian crude in dollars the same way we are selling our crude to other countries.

He wants to be buying in naira and Nigeria government desperately need dollars to stabilize the naira.

Las Las , dangote has won grin. Tinubu has given instructions that dangote refinery and other up coming local refineries can purchase crude in Nigeria in naira.
Re: 10 Largest Refineries In The World by shotuns: 3:27am On Aug 07, 2024
Abeg, from all indications Dangote refinery was never built to work for Nigeria but for a different agenda, the land mass area in the North alone is enough to build the refinery but instead came to Lagos on indigenous people's land forcefully taken from them without compensation while some stubborn ones were taken care off , you know what that means, na karma dey work on top the refinery, not worthy to be listed among legally working refineries in the world. Soon another story or narration will be released for it not to work. na script and we are watching.

Re: 10 Largest Refineries In The World by buJu234: 6:19am On Aug 07, 2024
Did u notice something.
The no. 1 & 4 - 6th positions are occupied by countries that are not even among oil producers.

Indian is one of the largest oil importers and south Korea has no oil deposit.

So there is more money in crude oil Refining and exporting all it's by products than in exporting raw crude oil oil.

Can u see why Nigeria is poor?

Just imagine every geopolitical region having 2 refinery each ( 1 for the local consumption & the 2nd for export), there will hardly be a poor citizen in the great country from North to South.

Nigeria is the only oil producing country without a functional refinery in the whole world.
If Nigeria had a leadership that is not Tinubu we would have many functional refineries including modular refineries.
Are you insane? Did our own brother Jonathan build or fix any refinery during his administration? Did Buhari even attempted to fix it at all? Did Obj did it?

It's like you are insane for real.

Wicked cabal in this government will never allow Nigeria fuel problem to be solved. They have been making trillions from this malady for decades and can never allow the change and hope that Dangote Refinery brings. That's while he's being denied raw material (crude) and fought with propaganda and lies at the detriment of poor masses. May the wicked forces holding this nation hostage perish in hell.

True but action is artificial and at d same time political!
We can actually move away from that if we want to, it only requires the political will which this present govt does not have.

Those with brains should note the biggest ones are in countries that do not have crude oil
Refining business has nothing to domwith being an oil producer as 8n NOTHING
Dangote coming out to lamentis just whipping up sentiments of ignorant folk

It does not matter one bit whether NNPC sells crude to him in naira dollars or CFA or whether he buys crude from Libya

It does not make any difference to our Forex situation or the nairaasmany Wouldham e you believe as long as we have refineries in Nigeria that are workiing

That is the only thing that matters. Working refineries. Where the crude comes from does not matter

These assertions will challenge your core beliefs but that is the hallmark of a truly educated person
Willing to change core beliefs when presented with evidence
By the way did you know

Nigeria has less than 40 years of oil left? Fact check this

So after 40 years where will we get crude from?

Are we preparing
