How can a country of 200M people not be able to bring about a good showing at the Olympics every competition, save for 1996?

It's a shame really. We have water, we can't compete, we have land, we can't compete, we have skilled footballers, yet we can't compete.

So why are we wasting money, that could have been used to the usual bags of rice for the hungry, and use it to send unprepared athletes to embarrass themselves.

Our athletes should go and perform for other serious countries abeg.

Last edition in Tokyo, we didn't win any gold , just 1 silver and 1 bronze after going with 55 athletes

2016 Olympics, Nigeria won only one bronze after going with 50/60 athletes 😂

2012 Olympics, Nigeria won nothing...

Team Nigeria’s quartet of Alaba Akintola, Favour Ashe, Utseorishe Itsekiri & Kayinsola Ajayi finished 7th in the Men’s 4x100m Heat. They ran a season’s best 38.20secs but it was not enough.

The USA, South Africa & Great Britain took the automatic slots to the final.

Team Nigeria’s Ayomide Powei Bello is eliminated from medal contention in the Women’s Canoe Single 200m. Her rowing time of 49.26secs was only good enough for 6th place.

Karen Roco & Liudmyla Luzan took the semifinal spots.

Team Nigeria’s Edose Ibadin has missed out on the semifinal of the Men’s 800m. He started well but ran out of steam to finish in 1:49.09mins.

Botswana’s Kethobogile took the sole ticket in the Repechage

The same thing with Nigeria football league. No one knows when the league will start, no one cares if players have contracts, no one cares if the pitch is standard. All attention is on foreign league.

That's why you will see a player who has match on Saturday doing bus conductor till 10p.m on Friday. You will see players not training for a game only to show up on match day. The excuse is they gats to hustle

If IOC create sex as sport, Africa will win the gold, silver and bronze forever

Have always maintained that there's no greatness in NIG, especially with the kind of tribes in Nigeria.
