Lesson here is that do not think that the crimes you commit or the path you take to “success” will not one day have repercussions on your children.

I always remember something I overheard from an uncle of mine when I was young. They day you join politics is the day you will know your family history. There are other versions like the day you join politics is thee day you will learn of your mothers ex boyfriends.

The meaning of this is the day you are successful or become a public figure of any sort is the day your secrets or your family secrets will be exposed. Before you go public, especially in a hostile environment make sure your background is clean. And when your family are telling you don’t do something and you don’t understand why, it could be because they know something you don’t but can’t tell you. I am sure the girl herself did not know her mother forged her birth papers.
