A lot of adjectives used by this dude in the video are very defamatory. Femi Gbaja is a U.S.-educated attorney, former Nigerian Speaker of the House of Reps, and now a Chief-of-Staff to the President of Nigeria. Chiefs-of-Staff worldwide are supposed to work behind the scenes most of the time to ensure that the daily itenary of a President goes smoothly.

Second, I haven't heard or seen Femi Gbaja online for over 1 year now and that got me wondering since the beginning of August 2024 about whether he is fine. Gbaja too has to (in private) work with the President of Nigeria to ensure that all communication with the public are simplified and short, NOT with long speeches, and the benefits and break downs of the cost savings from the CNG fuel use should have been at the top of that speech that the Nigerian President gave on Sunday last week. The bullet points and BENEFITS of every project to reduce economic challenges and reduce hyperinflation must ALWAYS FIRST be listed out at the top of every speech. This is to capture the attention of those listeners who get very impatient with long speeches or who have short attention spans! The speech that President Tinubu read on Sunday last week which many Diasporan folks of Nigerian descent were also waiting to hear violated that BENEFITS or "what-is-in-it-for-me" sequence I listed here.

The N200 per standard cubic feet of CNG gas currently being sold cheaply than PMS at the NNPC CNG refill stations in Lagos and Abuja should have been emphasized in that speech because a lot of Nigerians on the street level with "short attention spans" kept on saying that Tinubu did not talk about the lowering of fuel yet he did in that speech by speaking about the deployment of FREE CNG kits for all commercial vehicles belonging to the transport unions which would help to quickly LOWER the cost of transportation and food items by 60 percent.

A grace period of 2 months to deploy these CNG fuels and lower the cost of transportation and food by 60 percent should have been included and emphasized in that speech by President Tinubu of Nigeria. These are the things that Femi Gbajabiamila and the communication strategists of the Presidency from the Minister of Communication and speech writers MUST work on to reduce tensions and connect with Nigerians on the street level.

The recent extempore speech given by the VERY eloquent 60-year-old current Democratic Party Minnesota Governor Tim Walz when Kamala Harris introduced him was simply stellar, he connected with the folks in Philadelphia, and the United States, and worldwide by speaking to the human experience, connecting with the people and stirring up the feeling of hope and nationalism. It can be done by the Nigerian President Tinubu through the aid of the team of advisers such as Femi Gbajabiamila and more.

Seconded. The President needs a forward thinking and Competent team.

He should take cue from Obasanjo who formed a competent and professional team irrespective of tribe or zone.

I have calmly studied Tinubu, he has done nothing. Whatever u guys think that he did in Lagos was because of how Nigeria is structured. Nigeria was designed that benefited lagos. The mistake these Yoruba APC leaders make regularly,is comparing Lagos State with Nigeria, at the end they are disappointed.
Fashola, when he was a governor of Lagos State,with an estimated population of close to 25million people, thought it could be compared with Nigeria of an estimated population of close to 230million..
He was putting signboards like " THIS IS A FEDERAL ROAD, BEAR WITH US".on roads that belongs to the federal government,he was maintaining with Lagos State money, but when he became a minister of Power, works and housing, his achievement was quite insignificant.
On one of visits to Apapa, when he was governor, he blame the federal government under G. E. J for not constructing a rail line from Lagos State to Kano that will help in conveying containers from the Port to Kano, thereby reducing the port congestion, but as minister for works, nothing of that nature happened.
On Tinubu's 63rd birthday colloquium, he said generation of power is not rocket science, but when he became the minister of power, that was when we had one of our worst experiences both in generation, distributions and power outages.
Lagos that was developed and built years before Tinubu came to power both as governor and president, they said he built it, but under him, Nigeria is having its worst inflation rate, worst unemployment rate, real serious case of insecurity and job losses.
I have had this in my mind before, to ask that Tinubu seek advice from those who have ruled this nation before and elsewhere, to help. He had earlier said he will continue from where Buhari stopped, I don't know wether it's the positive or negative aspect of where he stopped. But presently, people should tell him, that the nation is its I.C..U.

I don't think the team is the problem.

Even during his time as Lagos governor, not all his commissioners shown brightly.

Why did he succeed in Lagos? He had a development plan in all sectors like transportation, internally generated revenue, local government administration, refuse evacuation, budget implementation, security and culture. He even had a leadership succession plan that was followed.

The issue with the larger Nigerian environment is that there is no development plan by many ministers. Some of them see ministerial appointment as a status symbol, not realizing it is a lot of work. I have always advocated for all appointees to come up with plans. It is not hard. Just find subject matter experts, hold a conference to articulate the problems, and come up with a strong development plan. Then just implement the plan. Anyone can implement any plan if the plan is strong and implementable. Carry out an assessment and revise the plan in line with realities.

As implementation is ongoing, ensure things are communicated down the pipeline through every channel. Let the governors do the same. When the people see what is going on and they understand the long-term impacts, they'd give their support. When they are disregarded, misinformation fiils the vacuum.

I had applauded Tunji-Ojo for his method when he was able to decongest prisons with a simple procedure:

Bosun Tijani needs to set milestones for himself and focus. Same as the guy in mines, steel, blue economy, creative economy and so on. It is a way to measure oneself and let people keep track.

For mines, we are yet to see his policy direction beyond going to look for investors and withdrawing licenses. This is how to fail. Call subject matter experts and develop a road map for the sector. Once people see you know where you are going, local businessmen will invest in the sector and embassies will tell their countries that opportunities abound in Nigeria.

If Tunji Ojo comes up with a plan to ask for investors to come and build and run prisons for example, they'd come.

Festus Keyamo too needs to get his acts together. Infact, all ministers should sit up. You don't have to know everything. You have to be knowledgeable enough to know that you don't know anything. Study the party manifesto, gather subject matter experts and organize a one-week agenda setting retreat with them. Once you have a clear policy direction, execution is not difficult. Look at Wike, wanting to carry out a staff audit in FCT. That is a plan to cut costs. For Bosun Tijani, energize NIPOST by engaging local people to purchase vehicles that should be doing haulage across the country. Just collect taxes. We have the market.

Dear minister, what is your plan?

For the Minister of Information, I enjoy watching him and his ability to communicate effectively. He may need to consider a press conference every month to communicate government's activities. He may also adopt the Jerry Gana model by visiting all FG's project sites nationwide in a media tour to promote FG's activities.

Tinubu can do it. He can fix Nigeria but not alone. And I agree with this Onopkasa for the first time. All these Lagos boys surrounding Tinubu are just stealing from the Government. Femi Gbaja for instance has been enmeshed in one corruption allegation or the other since the inception of this administration. A number of people have mentioned his name serially buy nothing has been done to him. All his boys have been silent. I only saw Mrs. Uju (Foreign affairs minister), Mr. Ojo and Cardoso defending the FG and trying to buy some time. Others have been very quiet waiting for the Government to fail and then they return to National Assembly again as Reps and Senators.
We are completely lost in this country.
Ashiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has really disappointed me only with his expenditures and not policies. The policies are right but tough, however, he (the President) has been spending like a mad man on irrelevant things and at the same time asking us to tighten our belts. So, we should tighten our belt for you to waste the money on Vice President's house, useless Governors, unconstitutional and useless First Lady's office, Presidential Jets, Yachts etc.
He has appeared insincere to me, like a traitor. If he fails eventually, I won't forgive him. Because I know what I have gone through and still going through from him.
He is obviously a man I love so much but now, I am lost!
