They were both mediocre as well. Obasanjo, the first president, had more than enough opportunity to do better but he laid the foundation for corruption and disregard of the Constitution— godfatherism in politics, gangsterism, etc. — on top of Nigeria's democracy.

Obasanjo is always on point with his warnings. This man has seen it all and knows the stakes better than most.

We can't afford to ignore his words; they carry weight. Let's hope the leaders are listening and take action before it's too late.

Hypocrisy of Nigerian former leaders. OBJ contributed immensely to the pains Nigerian are facing. If he has fixed the problem with INEC, the leadership problem he pointed out would be a story untold but because of greed for power, he allowed one of the most dubious election in Nigeria history conducted in 2023/200. The day OBJ decided to embraced restitution and apologise to Nigerians for his failure, I will not take him seriously. All these past Leaders failure is the reason Nigeria and Nigerians are suffering today.
