Hi guys good day, trust you are all good? As the topic implies, I want to build a website for myself for business purpose, how do I go about it, do I need to learn web development as a whole that is from the beginning because I am new to tech or I just need to buy a domain name and also a host and make use of WordPress etc?

And also I want to ask, as a full time developer do you still need to follow those processes in other to create a website.

Your inputs will be highly appreciated 🙏

I'll strongly advise you get a developer to do it for you.the time you are using to learn and to start doing trial by error to build the website is ample time you should be using to grow and build your business.

By the time you finish building your website, your competitors would have left you.

A domain name which is the address, a hosting which is where your website files resides and lastly the technologies i.e node, wordpress etc.

Your knowledge is same across, except for skills in the different technologies which is where expectise is usually required.

If you don't have basic knowledge of domain and hosting management or the WordPress you intend using, it's better you get a professional to do the job and request him to guide you!

With that, you can further build your skill! Skill building is not advisable to be done on a live project considering the time and possibly wastage of resources!
